Tried for a wash yesterday and it rained!

I tried to give the old toys a bath yesterday and it started to rain. Murphy's law? I did snap two crappy phone pictures though

Don't you hate when that happens!! It's impossible to keep anything clean when it rains after a hard day detailing

Sorry Steven lol. To make things worse, I keep the TL at a friends house due to lack of space. I rode the bike there to wash the car and then the bike and ended up leaving both there.

Yeah, now a-days I just detail the bike as I bought it new in 02. The car was bought in rough shape paint wise, so I just was and wax it. This would have been the first wash this year.

Thanks but the car would have to be repainted before it's worth detailing it IMO.

^Depending on the condition if it detailed right it will look like it has been repainted. What is wrong with the paint, deep scratches or just swirling and marring.

Marring, door ding, the rear bumper is toast so yeah definitely needs a repaint and some minor dent removal.

Thanks but no. IIRC you have some rust spots but your paint looks MUCH better than my car.

Yeah I always check the weather before I wash my car. I like it to be sunny for at least 5 days after I wash it otherwise I don't waste my time putting all that work in. I'm still waiting to take some pics of my car since I got my coilovers and rims put on! Stupid weather!!

Thanks. I bought the bike when I was younger and into riding on one wheel. Now when I ride my wife is on the back, she doesn't appreciate wheelies when she's on board As far as the weather, we live on the shoreline and it was a 45min shower that wasn't forecasted. My parents live 15min away (same town) and no rain.

Thank you. I'll try to take some close ups with a real camera sometime. IMO the paint sucks. I bought the car from someone who kept up on the maintenance but not the outside so much. To make it worse, when I used to drive it daily for work I parked at Dr's offices and it got hammered.

I feel you on wanting the repaint. My car looks good from far, but its far from good. So many little issues all over.

At least your car's silver and looks the same on cloudy/sunny days. Try driving NBP on a sunny day when you have light scratches/holograms/buffer trails! I need paint correction, but it's tough to find the real deal, as opposed to a place that just uses fillers to make it look good for a week.
