Too aggressive?

Oops. There wasn't supposed to be a thumbs down in the name... I don't even know how that got there.
Can someone remove please and thanks? xP

After a long time.. I got around to painting the eyelids. But during application I scratched it by accident... Oh well.

About the eyelids:
I ended up putting a little too many layers of fiber-glass and resin so it got a bit thicker than I had hoped for anyways--plus the cuts weren't straight. Darn.
It's getting very cold in Kitchener, Ont, Canada... when weather gets warmer I'm going to be remaking this darn thing! Hopefully I can get it perfect.

I'm also planning on making the eyelids as seen on Ron's site.
In my opinion they aren't aggressive enough---but I'll see what I think of it when I make them.

Anyways... here are some pics:

Too be honest I'm not that satisfied with it. Too many minor flaws.

There's cloudy skies all week--except Wednesday [which is the coldest day of the week]. But I'll try to get some day-time pics tomorrow.. I want to get pics of the ATLPs anyway. =]

Yeah man! Quads! =]
I just washed the car today---and spent more time on the quads than I did with the body.

Just hope I wake up when it's still sunny out

That "thumbs down" symbol should stay on your title

Im kidding, no but seriously. Im not feeling it. the TL headlight is already nice and agressive, no need for eyelids, IMHO.

Honestly no offense, doesn't look good at all. I wouldn't say too aggressive, it's too ricey/tacky looking.

lol.. I'm thinking it should actually as I'm dissatisfied with the outcome.
You are right, though. The TL headlights are nice. I don't see them as aggressive--unless I like at them from above... can't see the aggressiveness at other angles.

I sort of agree---But I think it is mean looking which is what I'm trying to aim for.

They are going off!
But only to be redone.. hahah.
Sorry I don't see the lazy eye and I like it having a mean look to it.

I don't really like how the light bleeds through on the edges, anyway to stop that? Also it is a bit much, for me personally, I do like the traditional eye lids though.

I fixed the title and cleaned it up.

Regarding the lights, Honestly, its doesn't look good on the TL. They make the car look sleepy and are pointless. They don't make it much more aggressive, but the opposite.

I'm not too much of a fan to be honest, but that's my opinion and you are entitled to yours

I can appreciate the fact that you want your TL to be different, especially doing something that I personally haven't seen very much at all

Keep us updated once they are redone!

Dude, it looks f'in cool. Its something completely different than anything ever done before...at least as far as I know. The TL does have aggressive headlights, but there is always room for improvement. I don't think a few dark pictures can really do this project justice.

I'd love to see some day time pics, then I'll judge. Seriously, good job with stepping up and taking this on.

I removed them a while ago. Yes there is a way to prevent the light from bleeding through--I just did a poor job of finishing off the sides.

I have a lot of time on my hands--Tomorrow will be Ron Jon styled eyelids. Straight through the headlights.

I began looking at the light mods and think I'm going to go that route instead.

In the future:
ZKW lens[or replicas] with Type-S smoked diffusers, LED Switchbacks, Oznium[sp?] Angel Eyes, Philips 85122+ bulbs and blacked headlight.
Figured if I go that route--why cover it up with and eyelid.

In the mean time... I might just keep a re-finished eyelid on.
It'll set me apart from other TLs out there--not that there are much mod'd TLs anyway

Nah.. haven't gotten pulled over with the original eyelids [vinyl my buddy put on].
I had the ones you guys see on for half a day. Several hours after posting I took them off...
I was going to remake them---as well as make the 'straight-through' ones.
But then I haven't gotten around that yet---it's been too cold lately.

Also I'm going to be working on something else.... so remaking the eyelids are put on hold... as well as day pics.
