jptl04, your car is definitely one of a kind!

I was pleasantly surprised to see you at the last So Cal meet. I actually didn't know it was you until I walked to the back saw the Ron Jon rear bumper.

Keep up the great work man!

this is what i had to do, got this from the shop manual

i had the RJ rear but the mounting points were the same. loosened not completely removed. i did one side at a time, loosened one side replaced the light put it back and the did the same for the other side i DID NOT COMPLETELY REMOVE THE WHOLE BUMPER.

here it is one side loosened and pulled of enough to get at the mounting bolts

mounting bolts for the tail lights remove them first them the bracket from the light later once its off the car

loosen and remove the four nuts on the mounting boltds behined the light unit, pull back the trunk liner and you'll see them

the light unit is the same remove the four screws on the LED unit

unplug it here

run the connecting wire through the new LED unit same way you removed it, don't forget to switch out all the rubber seals from your old light to your new one, and reassemble your car , took me about a little more than an hour

Really like what you've done with your TL. I have my 07 Tails coming any day now and am on backorder for the sidemarkers...probably going with the RJ front bumper soon too. Anyways, did you have to do any shaving on the trunk emblems? Did they just come off with some work and TLC?

Awesome...that'll be done by 6:00! Another question, I am having trouble finding just one piece of that RJ kit and noticed you only have the rear bumper...how did you find the single piece...I am trying to hunt down the front bumper and no skirts or rear?

Hondaacuraworld.com has the 2007 Taillamp conversion for 2004-2006 TL's listed with no pictures...about 4-6 listings from the top. I talked to a guy last week about the sidemarkers and they currently have 14 for the right side but no left side and they should be getting them shortly...be checking constantly because the demand is huge for them right now...my dealership is backordered as everyone is onboard thinking they look wayyyy better.
