Tinted tails to 07-08 base tails....

So I tinted my tails a while back and I really wanted the look of the 07-08 base tails. I noticed on the WDP, they really look good imo. I am undecided if I should get the bluebat tints that tint out the red and leave the white slits exposed. Do you guys think that would look better or do you like this look?

The car before with the tinted tails and the base exhaust and base Aspec.....

After with the Base 07-08 tails and the Type-S Aspec skirt and exhaust....

I liked this shot of the red caliper with the ronjon.........

I just got done doing another set of tails and sides for a member called upandcoming. They came out pretty sweet. These will great on his nbp tl...

the 07-08 base tails look 10x better. I liked them so much, i traded my type-s tails for them. I tinted my tails though, so this is what it looks like on SSM. I think they would look mean on your WDP smoked.

^^ That looks great so are those the overlays from batmobile or are they frome someone else? That looks great and I think I am going to have to go that route.

Not sure on the % because I painted them with niteshades and cleared them. A lot of work that looks great in the end.

Here is my a-spec install. I do all my mods myself and it did require some work to make it fit.

That's funny, I guess upandcoming bought them from you and shipped them to me. They look a little different.

Tint the new tails imo. The car looks great either way, but it looks a tab odd with the smoked side markers and the non-smoked tails. I think it would all flow a lot better with the tinted tails.

Your car is gorgeous.

Draztic- That looks real good. I'm tempted to do that instead of get type S tails.

thanx guys....

Mmade22, I think you should definately tint them to continue your smoked theme with your headlights and sidemarkers. (you should also consider a black roof ... )

I painted my tails and then had them clearcoated by the body shop when they were painting my roof black. That theme looks the best on WDP

FYI, when you try to smoke the 07-08 base tails, it is difficult because the clear parts aren't against the lens. Therefore at some angles you will still see some red. But looking straight at it...FTW

Jon, your workmanship is amazing! The car looks really good with the new additions. I definitely think you should get the BB tint; it would flow very nicely with the tinted rear sidemarkers.

Thanks Draztic for the pictures. I saw bforbrian did that as well with the overlays so I am going to order them soon. They will go well with my tinted sides and cleared lights. I would love to paint them but for 45 bucks, just slap on the tints and call it a day. I know they won't look as nice but if I messup, I can take them off and start over. Painting them is another story.

Thanks for all the props fellas. Jack, are you done with your headlights yet? Eric, when are we upgrading your blue lights in the cabin to the real deal?

They've been done for some time, I've just had bad luck with the install for three weeks. They were supposed to go in the weekend before the meet, and they were, until "the issue" manifested. The meet killed them getting in the following weekend, and last weekend's shitty weather kept me from doing it then. But I have everything lined up, and I'm starting the swap this afternoon. The goal is to get the lights pulled and all of the custom rigging done this afternoon/tonight and install tomorrow. I washed the car yesterday, so by tomorrow afternoon I should have a very clean car with some pretty sweet headlights. I'm excited (I'm giving up watching basketball to do this, so you can see how important it is to me).

Jon...go with your first instincts. Do the tints from BlueBatmobile. He's got 6/10 tints, which are the same as 20% tints. If I'm not mistaken, you can get either the full tints or the cut-outs. Either way, you can't go wrong.
