This thread was created to see if there were anyone out there who has a 3G TL with out any kind of bodykit on them because I've been a acurazine member for about 1 month now and well lets be honest not everyone has a TL with a kit on it unless im the only douch who bought one without the kit.. So I wanted to see if anyone has modded their TL's with the exception of the a-spec kit...

 

So you want a picture of an stock TL? Just Google it.
Also, I bought my TL without the A-spec kit.

 

theres plenty of people who mod without an aspec. I think bforbrian is rocking the stock body style.

Most everyone's TL came without any mods. Just hop in on the Aspec group buy. I think its only like $745 shipped.

the question he posed is a very weird question.
because people can mod to their hearts content, whether it be with an aspec kit or not.
there are tons of STOCK photos on google.com for him to look at.
he can browse the forums and look at the millions of photos ALREADY here.


my TL does not have the aspec kit. but it just looks like a regular old TL.
not sure what he's looking for if his TL looks exactly Like MY TL.

 

he clearly asked for people who had modded their TL's but elected to not install the a-spec body kit.



I can see why he had asked. a majority of people on here bought the a-spec kit as one of their mods, I'm getting one installed next week. However, in other car communities, it's quite popular to do every other mod you can think of while leaving the car's appearance as stock/base as possible.

I don't have Aspec, I don't have any intention of it. While I think it looks okay, I think it looks a little too bulky, if it was a different bumper option and not an add on to the bumper I'd probably be all about it.

 

Justin, what I'm saying is-you guys have a terrible way of "welcoming" a new member into AcuraZine. If someone said to me, "I bet you're the douche that bought one", I'd say to myself...."screw this place".

You can tell someone that it's easy to find. Allow the new person to WANT to come back to AcuraZine.

No, my Type S has a full Aspec Kit now.

 

I do understand the question and well stick around the
forum more and pretty soon you will start a new thread
with a title a little something like this.
"Should I get the Type S A-Spec lip or the base model A-Spec lip?"
I'm gonna help and see if I can find some pics on Google and post them up
for you.

 

I would guess that the majority of us here on Azine have the A-Spec kit or at least part of it, but there are members here who have nicely modded TL's without the A-Spec kit. Spend some time exploring the photograph section and youll find them. However, in the grand scheme of 3G tl's, only a small portion of them have the Aspec kit.

 

I lowered my car and put rims on it before getting the A-Spec kit. I was undecided for awhile whether or not I wanted to get the A-Spec kit for awhile since almost everybody on here has the kit, but I realized that having the kit does set your car apart from most other TLs on the road.

yeah this is exactly where im at ...not sure of what I want to do to mine..so I wanted to see what I could do without the aspec kit ... don't get me wrong the kit is awesome but for right now its in the future plans

 

I also did the same, got some coils first and then got rims. However, I jumped on the wagon and got the aspec kit in the group buy

 

Trust me when I say this, once you get the Aspec kit you'll wonder why you didn't get it sooner.

 

Just like to add one more thing. If there was no such thing as a A-spec kit
I be driving a G35 right now. The front and rear bumpers are ugly without a lip
the side skirt not so much.

Oh trust me ...i have no doubt on my mind..lol the kit with the drop and rims def changes things without a doubt i mean perfect example besides many but 06tl4life has a mean ass tl especially with the new video he put out...

What coils would you guys recommend me getting.????

 

Lots of people are dropping their car on Tein. But recently people been getting the ISC N1 coils from XLR8 which is the one I have. Can't go wrong with either. Although, from what I understand I think you need to get top hats if you are getting the Tein where the ISC N1 already come with it.

 

Dirty car but no Aspec. Tein Bais coilovers.
