Tech's progress thread
Spoke to the body shop, he said for the gap, they don't even mess 3M tape anymore, they just use the adhesive they use for roof panels and truck bed liners..duraseal? duraflex? I can't remember the name but it's something like that. Only thing is he said is once they do it, it's permanent and will never come off which is fine for me cos I like the Aspec kit anyway.

My DYC sprayer system came in the mail! I got it for a steal on ebay. Now I just need warm weather..

Dude, put some clear rtv silicone there, then rest something heavy up against while it dries...it'll hold forever and not be "permanent".

Cool! I will try that out before I let the body shop handle it. Do I need to take the tape out again? That was my least favorite part..

Do you mean to install it? or to remove the old?
I'd put some to HELP hold, but then put a few sponges and a tool box hold pressure on it while the RTV dries...or lean a jack stand with a towel on it or something.
