Finally got around to my Nikon 1.8 35mm. Hope I'm doing it right.

Thanks Steven, one of my best mods to date.
Haha Samit you already know why
Thanks, I love the 3/4 look that shows them both
Indeed it is, I don't regret one bit
Being a black car really blends it in.
Hey thanks man, that was the money shot.
It was a spur of the moment shoot. I was waiting for my buddy and I had the cam in my trunk so I figured why not?
You were the one got me into DSLR cameras and this lens. I messaged you a few time in your deuce thread
Nothing fancy, xxr 527s with konig center caps.

What camera body do you have? I learned a lot just by watching YouTube tutorials...and practice! I don't use my camera nearly as much as I should, but practicing certainly helps

Damn, that was a long time ago I'm glad you made it happen!
That lens produces insanely crisp shots and can focus on one very small section of the car. Play with the settings and play with the f-stop, which adjusts the focus to concentrated areas or a large area. Before pulling the trigger to take a photo, hold it halfway down and you'll see through the viewfinder what part of the subject the lens will autofocus on with a flashing red light.

I have the nikon d3100 body but I'll try your suggestions. Thank you.

The higher the f stop number (aperture), the less blurry effect you will get - it's called bokeh and its desirable in a lot of situations. Increasing that f stop number will make your pictures sharper, but darker. You'll have to compensate by adding a longer shutter speed or increasing the ISO. PM me if you have any photography questions... I'm a novice and still learning though!
