It's amazing how a roof rack can make a TL look sexy.....

Some more photo goodness. I figured I'd also give an update since the last time I posted a major one a lot has been going on. All of the work done to the car has been done with the help of a friend who works at a local dealership in the service department so we can make use of the lift and air tools. Thank the car gods for air tools. Behind the scenes we did a full brake job that I forgot to mention. Picked up a set of pads and rotors from Endless. After that we did the 105k service a couple months later. Did the whole shindig minus the thermostat. Even had to go buy the special crank pulley tool at midnight from a 24hr Autozone to finish the job. Just when we thought we were done the steering rack sprung a leak. So that was next to be replaced and while we were at it we rebuilt the steering pump since it was leaking ever so slightly.
Sure mods are fun and all, but the maintenance definitely comes first. So once that was all out of the way, we put in a progress RSB and Fastline Compliance bushings. Not even a week later we went for the big dog, putting in the BC coils and the new Varrstoen ES1s. I decided on a staggered setup (F18x9.5 +22 R18x10.5 +22 wrapped in 225 and 235) that I'm still trying to make fit just right even with all four corners rolled. I assume the next move is camber arms of the front and rear. I also had the car tinted 18% all around with a 55% windshield. I think an ASPEC kit (I know you've all said that shoulda been the first thing I did, sorry not sorry) and window visors will be icing on the cake.
Mix a little Tbone accident somewhere in there when someone decided a stop sign was optional (just the pass door shell had to be replaced and blended) and I think that's everything.
Super happy with the car's progression and how my knowledge is also growing.

Almost time to come out of winter hibernation...
Picture taken before winter, but a recent purchase has me excited for spring time. I've been looking for a full kit since I bought the car, but I accepted that it would never happen. Until last week when I saw a bnib kit for sale. The only catch? It's black. So I bit the bullet, made the drive and picked it. Gonna have it resprayed and put it on once it stops snowing in Jersey (which feels like never this year).
Some other stuff I wanna do this year: decklid spoiler, the brake covers that have been sitting in my truck for a year and some window guards

I was leaving work one morning and on the entrance ramp to the highway was a disable vehicle. The road was damp, so when I switched from gas to brake, the back end broke lose and hydroplaned off the road. The car came to a rest into a light pole. Insurance totaled it out, but wait until you see what I picked up from the dealer today...

Don't ask how I found this because I have no idea how I got so lucky. The dealership posted it on Friday, I went in to see it Monday and bought it right then. Expect more pictures than you know what to do with. I'm at a loss for words to describe how excited I am.

Just rolled over 97k and I got out the door for 16k. It started its life as a manager's car, and then it went down to spend some time in Virginia, and then it came back up to Jersey where a mechanic at the Honda dealer next door owned it. Spotless carfax. Only blemish is a scratch on the trunk lid and the cup holder cover is (as expected) snapped.

16 seems like a fair price. but the fact that its in very good condition makes it worth while!
congrats man, gets some gm synchro in that beast!

Off the old ABP I was able to save the Yakima rack and the wheels. I have a set of Skunk2 front camber arms and SPC rear set that I was going to install in that car. I am also stuck with a full ABP Aspec kit/hardware that I'm going to try and sell on the BM.
I really don't know what kind of direction I want to go with this car. First I want to get to know it in its stock form because coming from an auto base and then right into a 6MT Type-S is a big enough change in itself. I also think I might be past the camber and rubbing tires phase of my life but who knows hahaha.
Once I can set a date I'm gonna line up a full paint correction and then hopefully get it re-tinted because the driver is all scratched up (assuming there's no mole skin in there).

They always clean up so nice. Having a hard time convincing myself that I want to sell them. I'm sure they'd look awesome on the KBP but they're so aggressively spec'd.
