^I would invest in some if I did more highway driving. Granted I make a 600 mile round trip to Michigan about monthly, the police I see are always using CO radar. Other than that, just city driving for me.

I see laser used a decent amount in the city. Just watch out, a radar detector will let you know exactly when your getting a laser ticket, if at all.
Before I had jammers I used an escort 8500x50 and it didnt even alert to my laser ticket. I got jammers soon after.

Yup. When I'm in town back from school I get hit with LIDAR around 4 times per week. Everything else is instant on K and KA band radar.

And heck, even when I was shooting you with the PLIII last time you said there were some runs where I made it so your V1 didn't even alert. The V1 is the most sensitive detector for laser on the market. I can tell you from experience of shooting almost every laser gun on the market, you will not have any chance to slow down with a detector alone if the cop is shooting LIDAR.

I think a lot of the usage varies state to state. Indiana is...eh. Less advanced than Texas. Not trying to be naive, but I've honest to god never passed an officer checking speed without CO radar.

As for where I bought my jammer. I bought direct from the US distributor but he now supplies them to another site called radarbusters.com and he encourages people to buy from them. Go over to radardetector.net, register, then click the little banner of the guy in the santa costume to get a promotion code that will give you 10% off at checkout. The jammer is called the Laser Interceptor. Once you've purchased you can go back over to radardetector.net, look my username up, then click the link in my signature to show my install.
Depending on where you live, you should be able to find some people in your area that have a lidar gun that will be able to test your install once it is finished to make sure you can trust it. If you have any more question feel free to ask. And no, I'm not a representative for anybody who thinks that I might be by all this pitching I'm doing, it's just my hobby.

I got it off of ebay from a dealership. It was already painted and I think I got a good deal.

It seems like a lot of guys are getting Aspec Kits close to the holiday! Looks good Caiman-be sure to use the multi-quote tool in the lower right hand corner of each post. The middle icon allows you to quote multiple people in one, single posting.
