Slyck's WDP '08 TL Type-S

Well, now that i've made some posts and finally made the time to post an introduction thread.

"HELLO EVERYBODY!!!"

I bought my TL January 22nd, traded in my 05 Civic SI due to it being a money pit (stupid 19 year old me blowing the engine )

The car was at 105k but had all of the maintenance done so I drove it home. The previous owner loved curbs...... The first step was tinting the car as it didn't look right. That was quickly followed by debadging. Now the fun has begun. I have read a lot of the build threads out there and they really have me inspired to make the car look great. So I decided i'd do easy things until I can decide which direction I want to go.

I started with iJDM 6k DRLs, they look really good, and were easy to install due to seeing all the DIY's on the forum.

The next step was Vled's switchback in 6K and iJDM fog lights, also in 6k. Here is a pic I took with the headlights on after dinner last night, first drive with all the new goodies installed. It's obnoxiously bright, so it's perfect for the drivers in Houston (not a native), they drive like its Nascar down here.

I did buy a pair of ebay window visors, they have been a great test to see if I like the look, an OEM pair is now on my short list. They also gave me a great place to test out plastidip, that stuff is too much fun.

Just to prove the love the previous owner had for curbs, new wheels are on the list too.

All of my pics are off of my Note 3, I may have to invest in a better camera, I could learn a thing or two about photography from most of you.

Thanks everyone for the welcome! This board is pretty amazing, so many things I want to do due to reading about the work other members have done.

On to not making the thread worthless now. lol

Some more pics of the new Titans.

The glare is going to need to get contained, i'm going to have to tap into the headlights to turn on the 50% dimmer.

A fair idea of what the lights look like from my point of view on someone else's truck.

I also installed the iJDM LED boards for my license plate and their CREE LED reverse lights, they are obnoxious and I love it. Please excuse my dirty car, the 34 mile round trip gets it pretty messy down here.

Parking Lights and License Plate Light from the side(ish).

Reverse Lights

I also restored the Headlights, it was pretty time consuming since I decided to do the elbow grease method, i'll get the drill version next time.

Before on driver's side

After on passenger

The TL is starting to look the way I want, i'm still debating tinting my fog lights, I already have the tint just not sure if I want to take away from the clear look that it has right now. LOL

I'm going to go ahead and blame photobucket for the picture sizes. I'll have to go set up a flickr or something similar soon.

So it's been a while since I posted updates on the site. It's been crazy with work going through a restructure, finding out I was safe and then getting promoted makes it all worth it. So the TL has gotten some more love recently, including a new HFL and i'm already in love with that, hands free in the car is amazing.

I installed LED's in the interior to give it a softer color, plus it matches the rest of my LEDs.

I also added the USR switchbacks, I am liking them more and more.

Fog lights got tinted yellow.

The biggest change came yesterday when I got my new wheels. Nitto Motivo's wrapped around 18 x 9 TSW Amaroo's in matte black, the wheel caps were chrome so they got plasti dipped and then installed.

pre dipped center caps

Trying to decide if I want to do the Aspec suspension or go with Koni Yellow's and Tein springs as my next big mod.

I have a box sitting in my garage just waiting for the right oppurtunity and then that will be some more fun stuff to install. First priority is going to be doing my brakes with the brakemotive box I have waiting in the corner, just need to order stainless steel lines, spacers for the rear wheels and the caliper covers for my rear brakes. 3x3 ATF flush and pressure switches are on the list as well.

Nice wheel choice. Maybe we'll cross paths on the street someday.

Perks of using your cell phone's 13mp camera to take pics, a DLSR is on the list of things to buy. I'll get some better shots tomorrow while my car is in the bay at work getting the remote start and Viper alarm wired in.

I really do need to go to a Houston meet up, work is just crazy lately, 50+ hours every week, though the OT is nice.

Good....that's why I'm not a black wheel fan-no contrast.
