Hardly. I just never rest/relax. My life articulates essentially around 5 categories: Career, Home, Wife, Fitness/Nutrition, TL. Friends and family sometimes, too

Negative, my man. It's one of two possible issues:

(1) I did not make the connection for the resistor close enough to the board and there is a mechanical separation

-or-

(2) The leads are touching.

I'll have it fixed this week.

Thanks for the compliments, guys, we'll have this all wrapped up in about a month when the navi and radio are finished!

Looking good man. I replaced all the bulbs in the steering wheel when i got my car. I should have gone with LEDs. Next time a bulb goes i am switching to LEDs.

I need to replace mine. My bulbs are blown. Is there a diy/parts list for this?

Go for it, man! I have written DIYs of all the OE locations with the exception of the steering wheel (that will be coming this week) and the radio/nav unit. I am gearing to do the radio in 2 weeks, the nav in 3.

Thanks, dude. Actually, it's not as bright as the images depict - if you look at the gauge cluster, even that is much brighter, this being a result of my uber-crappy camera. One of these days I'll stop being such a pincher and purchase a proper SLR.

Yes. Again, all of the DIYs are in the garage. The total cost of this mod (for materials) is only about $30 - that covers all LEDs and resistors. Can't beat it.

How do you not see a difference? Look at the lights on the steering wheel.

Good job, Dan!
We need to collaborate a bit on the radio. I think that is going to be the most difficult area of the car.

Thanks, Dave! Your help made this possible, seriously. You and Chris really helped prepare me for this endeavor. Regarding the radio - It's really going to be super easy. We will be using a bit more of an advanced technique, I'll detail more when I pop this out. Just a heads up - load yourself up with some PLCC-2s and the thin-film resistors...560-ohm.

Already got them, my brutha---except I got 680ohm. Should still work fine.
Unfortunately, I do not have a garage to work in and theres 30 inches of snow on the ground! UGH!! Shit is really backing up---A-Spec lip, HID backups, CarPC. So close on a lot of them, just waiting for weather to break!

the more you look at the pics i put up the easier it looks to do the radio as long as you have the right pieces. with those thin film resistors its going to be so easy doing the radio, the hardest parts of the job is probably just getting the radio out of the car, which isnt that hard anymore lol. i think the steering wheel and those bulbs that you have to bend to not get hotspots are the harder projects than the radio which is straight foward replacement of the bulbs and resistors.
