Show me your tint!

I just don't see how you some of you guys can drive around with 5% tint. Do you drive at night? Are you worried you will be in an accident and be found liable criminally and/or civilly?
I have 28% tint all around which is accordance with my state law. It's more than sufficient to serve it's purpose of protecting the interior and lowering the temperature. Of course it doesn't appear like a limo, well, because it's not a limo.

After reading threads here, I would have gone for Pinnacle F1 Ceramic if I didn't have to drive 2 hours to get them.

Basically, you take the pic and resize it on your PC. Then upload the resized pic to your photo host. Then post the IMG link.

Dave's a great guy. He's a little on the high side of pricing, but does a fantastic job with tints. He charged me $305 with felt on all 4 side windows. He works out of an auto glass shop in Naperville. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Does anyone have their car at 50% front and back? I had 15% on my previous car and it was difficult driving around at night, and being paranoid about getting a fix-it ticket. I want to tint my car but not sure if its even worth it the tint is so light.

Here is our 07 Type S. One of my best friends who owns Clear View Tint did it for my birthday. If you are close to Northwest Florida and want a great job at a good price PM me and I'll get you his info.
It is SunTech 15% all the way around. I think it looks great, but of course I do since it is my car...lol.

Here is one of the TL and my commuter car. The commuter car is darker (too dark as it gets attention from the police so we are going to redo it a little lighter).

Ok, so I've been through a few threads on tint so far and this one has helped the most.
I checked with 1 shop locally (just starting my research on install shops) who said it's nearly impossible to get the tint into compliance with RI Tint Law due to the factory tint.
Any idea what the factory tint is? (I don't notice much tint from the factory)
And it seems most here recommend 30-35% for a percentage.
I want a nice clean little tint to the windows without having it look like it has been tinted. (Trying to avoid RI State/Local Police).
The percentages we keep talking about here are the percentages of light that can pass - correct?
So that would make 35% (65% passes through) darker than say 30% (70% passes through)>??
Sory if it's kinda a noob question - hopefully someone else is as confused about it as me....lol

The percentage is how much light is allowed to pass...35% means 35% of the light gets through; 65% is blocked. The lower the number, the less light passes through, the darker it is. OE tint is 75%, I believe. There was a wonderful thread with lots of good explanations in it recently...give me a minute...

If you want to stay legal, then you, my freind are screwed. In RI the legal limit on passenger cars is 70% - Sides and Rear. Which is complete , but it's "your" law.
So, our OE is ~75%, then a clear peice of mylar is going to be about as much tint as you can do - legally.

So let me see if I get this..........
RI Legal limit is 70% - verified ..... so 70% of the light can come through and I block 30%?
So if OE is 75% in - block 25% isn't that already illegal?
<this is sooo confusing>
