Thanks for the info, both of you guys!
I'll see which one seems easier for me. Since my in-laws live in Bethesda, Rockville might be easier for me to swing...
Thanks again to all who posted their pics. Tint looks amazing on the TL!

It's not often you see a picture of a WDP in sunlight without having all the lines and shapes washed out. I have one heck of a time finding "the right light" for taking pics of my car.
I just snapped a couple (just before twilight here in Cali), and I think I did all right. Still working on it, I guess.
This is with factory level (i.e. none?) tint. I'm looking to get tint, though, and am wondering which percentage would be best. I want subtle, and I don't want to be a cop magnet.

For some reason, I keep thinking "mirror tint" for my car, because I absolutely loved that on my parents Lexus RX300 back in the day (1999-ish). Not sure how good it would look; I haven't even seen mirror tint on cars for a while now. Maybe there's a reason for that!

That's not to say that it doesn't look great, though. It looks awesome!

I have car ADD
iTrader: (6)
see... i know what you are talking about the with RX300... also, one of my old explorers (92) came with mirror tint in the back just like th RX... here was the trick to it
if you get mirror tint, you gotta get like...35-50%. too dark, just looks ghettooooooo.
and dont get smoked tints, solid mirrors....like35%... might look good...
your car is white, right???
if white... get black tints.... other car colors might be cool to experiment with the mirrored ones

Revolution that tint job is hittin'!! Reminds me of an NBP I know...I love to see a good tint job man. None of that weak stuff that some places put on. So that's why I directed the locals to the shop I knew would hook it up right! Good job on that one man!

Most shops will redo your rear 1/4 windows for about $60-70 which includes detint. If you know the % and type of film they used just find a good shop that uses that kind. I'm having the same problem, it's taking me awhile to find a decent Llumar dealer that I feel comfortable with. In the meantime I took black vinal and placed it on the outside of the rear window just covering the gray left by the rubber... It doesn't look too bad, I like it alot better than the grayness from the rubber. Especially on NBP with 5% tint...ew! I'll post pics when I get back in town on sunday!

Here is a picture just a few days after she was tinted:
35% Llumar - Front
5% Llimar - Rears/Sunroof
http://images.kodakgallery.com/photo...2111_0_ALB.jpg
I hated the look of the front windows and went to 20%. You'll notice the rear 1/4's look like hell in the first picture. #1 they didn't tint under the rubber...#2 I swear they used a different % film.
I'm still waiting to have my rear 1/4's re-done. Though they look alot better in this picture, I took a piece of black vinal and covered the over gray area left by the rubber showing. Now when I get time to get to staten island, i'll have my rear 1/4's retinted.
Anyway, here is a pic with the front windows re-tinted.
