Jeff if you are doing the g2 kit, I would suggest buying some preval sprayers to apply the paint. The brushes leave brushstrokes if you look closely. Take out the pads and place a bag over the rotor and put the caliper back on and spray away. That stuff also has to dry for 24 hours before driving. Good luck on the
color.
color.

Yea I am going to look at a different brush. I have plenty of other stuff to do that will allow 24 hour drying time.

What a busy day.
All I have left is finish re-painting grill and installing front A-spec lip.
Then I can put my brakes back together. I am waiting on new front rotors and pads from Brakemotive.
If you are gonna paint your calipers definitely get the little aerosol can spray bottle thingy do hickies. Just make sure to buy a recharge bottle. It says they are good for 16 oz but it barely lasted 2/3 of a g2 kit.
I have a lot of shit in the mail that just won't make it here in time. Oh well, always fun having things up my sleeves.
Guess its time to sell the TL. Being how I am almost done with the mods that I am going to do to it.
I am going to have a delay in adding pictures. It will probably be after the weekend before I get a chance to load any on here. I didn't really take many pics of the process as I have somehow gotten out of that over time. But once she is cleaned up I will be posting some pictures of the finished product.
Crown Royal is delicious!!!

Yea let me just jump in my car and drive to Miami. I will be there in 3 days.
I am gonna try and take my DSLR next week and take some pictures. It will be put back together and cleaned up.
Besides if you see it in person your marriage will suffer because you will have 2 TL's after buying mine.

So I just drained my transmission fluid. I put GM syncromesh (non friction modified) at 28k miles. I am around 45ish just under and it looked brand new still. Had a good smell to it as well.
I replaced it with 1 qt of GM sm with friction modified and 1.3 qts with non friction modified.
I was at the mercy of what the GM dealer had on hand and I had half bottle left over from last fill.
I will go with all friction modified on next drain/fill.
Can't wait for short shifter and bushings.
Calipers came out nice. Time to re dip grill and install front a spec then put back together and hopefully wash in next couple days. It has rained here the last 2 days and my alley is flooded. Plus they dug up a trench on my main way out of the alley. I can't go the other 2 ways due to being too steep and my car will get stuck (don't ask how I know) but there is one other exit but I will have to take a rake and shovel and clean the debris so that I can travel that way.
Low Life problems!

All projects finished. Just need some finishing touches and a wash.
My rear tires are showing some toe wear after roughly 5k miles and minimal camber wear.
Definitely need an alignment.

Thanks Meko
Carbon Bronze is just an awesome color regardless. But the Sunset Orange Metallic was a good choice. I was kind of taking a chance on it. G2 had some mixed up and were running out. It was between this and Inferno Orange Metallic. The sunset was a shade darker and I wanted something that was colorful yet not as loud.
I know right, coming from the same guy that had hot pink rims. But that was more for fun and boredom. This is more permanent.

For my taste, Inferno is more like a solid color which would go great with White, Black cars.
Sunset has more deep color into it, it's dark but the metallic makes the color stand out. Just like Carbon Bronze
Haha still have the pink ones too I guess...
Are you going to correct the camber? If yeah, will have to agree with Anil. Lower

I have an alignment scheduled for Friday. I am going to fix the rear camber. It was supposedly at -1.5 when I had it adjusted last. The front was at -1.2 but the rear looks way more cambered.
Either way, I will get everything corrected this week.
Fronts are maxed low on ISC's. I am hoping the rear will come up a little with the fixed camber and my stance should be exactly how I want it.
I did have to take the mud flaps off though before the a spec kit due to dragging the on the highway here and there.
Stiffer springs may help some of the problem as well though.
Anil, come on down to NM and you can look at the car in person.
