its been a long time since ive posted anything on here so i thought id give a quick update. ive started my car overhaul savings again (spent all the money i had saved on a business that thankfully is doing well).

to make life easier for when i want to do mods that will require my car to sit at a shop for a few days i picked up a daily driver for 1k. its a 1992 honda accord lx. the body has normal wear and tear but according to my mechanic its mechanically in great shape.

I subscribed to this thread, cant wait to see what you have in store for the TL.

I also had the same Honda Accord back in the day, but mine was hella slammed.

Also looking for a beater car myself.

thanks man. as far as winter plans i have some minor things i want to get done.

1. some interior parts/accessories have been ordered (3-4 week turnaround time on some of the accessories). ill prob install everything at once in early jan.

2. professional deep cleaning of the leather which has been long overdue

3. install the aspec kit which has been sitting in my apt for a while now

4. fix my collapsed spare tire compartment lid. Im still trying to figure out how to do that so any advice would be great. im thinking of taking some wood or mdf board and putting it across part of the spare well to support the flimsy lid. im clearly not worried about the extra weight bc of the giant tank i have in the trunk haha

I'm excited to look at your TL with the kit installed. It's really going to set it off once it's on there.

that is exactly what i did during my sound system install. i have both my amps/x-overs in the spare tire compartment bolted to a piece of 3/4" MDF in the well. i then got a larger piece of MDF and had it cut very slightly larger than the spare well area and wrapped it with dark gray cloth/fabric to match the carpeting in the trunk. worked like a charm.

spare tire well

MDF board wrapped and supports sub/beauty panel

Think TNT is the only thing not used on that fender
