quick update. I have started my VIP style interior project. I got a Luxis shift knob in the mail today and installed it. While it looks out of place right now with all the carbon fiber panels it gives me motivation to get the rest of my interior redone. I am planning on doing custom work all the leather and headliner with matching steering wheel. getting rid of the carbon fiber panels. not sure what ill be changing them to yet but im open to any ideas. also get a full sound system setup.
ill post pics of the knob installed later but for now here is a manufacturers pic of the knob
please feel free to post if you have any ideas or suggestions for my interior!

Do you like gripping long, hard knobs?
As for the interior, I would love to see something like this with the cross-stitching...
Do white instead of red though. Get some WDP thrown inside

so ive got the mod bug again but cant decide what i want to do. I either want to really attack the interior and do a full custom job or go full on performance and do forced induction. I was thinking turbo because its proven to work reliably on a Type S but the cost is very high and I am not looking for insane hp. I thought about a supercharger but after searching have not found a type s that is reliably supercharged. I am hoping that the new ECU can make this a possibility but i am a forced induction newb. does anyone have any thoughts about making a supercharger work on a type s with the new ecu without issues.

I say stick with the VIP scene and do the interior. Once that's finished, go for the engine.
Since it's your DD, I would want the interior to be nicely done to match the exterior. Plus I can't see you flooring it everywhere on air ride and wide ass wheels.

I'll save the "no show, all go" for a worthy platform (small 2-seater, rwd, 6-speed).

thanks man... the photographer is really good. i just stood there looking important lol
thanks... ive got the color for the interior decided but i cant decide if i want a full interior job or a brand new paint job or new wheels. ill have all 3 by the end of august but im trying to do it in the order that makes the car look best. some wheels and interiors dont look right with certain exterior colors. im leaning towards a new paint job bc its a good starting point to base my interior and wheel choice off of. i would hate to buy wheels and then they dont flow properly with the paint. my next plan in the really near future is a custom modified aspec lip.

Was fun cruising down 85 with you. Your TL looks good rolling.
Can't wait to see what you decide to do next.
Let's get up this weekend and i will give your camera mount back. Just dawned on me that i'm heading to Durham.

also, diamond pattern, pleating, and tuck and roll style are usually a higher labor rate at an upholstery shop.

UltraLeather. You can keep white seats bright white for 10 years. It's softer than leather, won't stain or crack, I had my parents get it when I redid the dining room chairs for them. It does cost more.
