Got the PCDs installed yesterday. First impression, man does this thing scream (figuratively and literally).

If ya'll are interested, I'll try to grab a sound clip and maybe do a little review or something.

Washed the car and decided to take some pics too.

And I'll try to get a video of the exhaust with the PCDs soon. They're loud but not too bad. I was expecting it to sound a lot worse.

Oooohhh. Looking good, Ross! I like your caliper color choice. Nice shade of blue that isn't too bright but still noticeable.

Yep. I don't have any other camera. My mom has a Panosonic Lumix that she never uses so I may grab it next time I go home and learn how to use it.

Yeah, im not hating the pinstripe esp on a WDP, its harder to pull it off on the darker colors. Great looking type s BTW.

There's rasp without a doubt, although it isn't too bad at lower RPMs, when it's warmed up, or when you don't floor it. But if you floor it and get above 5K RPMs, damn is this thing loud. I'll grab a video tonight so ya'll can hear it. I had my mom drive it the day I got them installed and it reminds me a lot of a E36 M3 I once heard when cruising, although I'm not sure if it had a stock exhaust or an aftermarket one. The best thing is that I have 0 drone.

The rasp is a small price to pay for the extra power, because my God is it there.

Okay so here's my short review of the PCD's as well as a couple of short videos.

Sound: When you first crank it up it sounds a little bit louder than it did beforehand with the stage 3. Under normal acceleration there's no rasp, just a louder and slightly deeper tone. Under heavy acceleration WOT, this thing is loud. Rasp becomes present in the upper RPM range and doesn't sound too nice. The rasp is really similar to a stage 4 exhaust only the rasp with PCDs is a little louder. My favorite thing about the sound is that now the exhaust gurgles and pops.

Power: This is the best thing about them. It's not a "Holy shit this is stupid fast" sort of feeling but in upper RPMs there's a noticeable power increase. I don't think the 20 HP claim is exaggerated in the least.

Smell: My car now smells just like a lawnmower. It's pretty noticeable but not terrible. I kind of like it.

One thing I will note is that these have made my exhaust tips dirtier than hell. A quick wipe with Barkeepers Friend cleans all residue off.

Overall I couldn't be happier with them. The sound and smell is just a small price to pay for the extra power that these offer.

Here's a couple of short videos I took tonight. Sorry ya'll can't see anything, but this is an exhaust video so that doesn't matter.

This one is just some revs and then WOT:

http://i1149.photobucket.com/albums/...ps184f18e2.mp4

This one is how it sounds under normal acceleration:

Not sure if this is an update or not but I got a new license plate in last week.

And does anybody have any recommendations on anything to put on exhaust tips that kind of protects them against residue? I use BKF to clean them but with the PCDs they turn gold 3 days later. I was thinking something like what you can put on wheels so brake dust doesn't stick or it just wipes off with a damp rag...

Usually people put wax on their wheels not sure how that'll turn out on an exhaust tip though.

Thanks for the compliments guys.

Been looking at some wheels. Do y'all think a 19x8.5 +20 would work with a fender roll and my springs?

Thanks. It's probably one of my favorite pics. I just wish I'd already gotten the Aspec kit when I took it.

Wheels will be next since I've got someone that wants my waffles, then XLR8 Quads, and finally maybe coils.

Wheels have been ordered.

Only thing I'll say is they're 19x8.5 +20 all around.

Thanks guys. Hopefully chrome spinners will look good.

What brands do ya'll suggest on lug nuts? I was thinking Muteki?

Oh and color too. Just stick to black or try to match the Brembos and get blue?

Here's when the post 10 minute edit feature would be great.

Are these the right lugs to get?
