I have the same spoiler and same problem with the slight gap.. I mean you dont notice it from far away at all so it looks fine, only to the eyes of the OCD (acuraziners) notices it.
Does your roof spoiler kind of lift up just a tade in the center a little? Like it doest curve/flex properly with the curvature of the rear window? Its not that major but just ever so slightly if you press in the center you can feel a little gap.

Picture of my roof spoiler here. I really love the way it looks.
Since installation, mine has "humped" slightly, but not in the middle. It has done it to the right and the left of center. I used two layers of double sided tape and it doesn't seem to be a problem right now. But I'm definately keeping an eye on it.

$50 for shipping is ridiculous. I found one on EBAY from a guy named "built4race". I wrote to him and he had plenty in stock and his shipping was only $20 or $25, I think.

WOW! Thats a lot man! I got mine painted for $70. Granted it was in MA, but I can't imagine it would be much more expensive anywhere else??!!!

You just need to measure across the top of your back window. I think the one I have on my Type S is 45 inches across.....I think.

45" or 115 CM for the TL. What sucks is that the 45" spoiler is a tiny bit short (by 2-3mm, barely noticeable but there) and I've seen 45.5" which is too long.
What I havent seen and I wish someone out there make is one thats 45.25" which I think would be a PERFECT fit!

Hello:
This question is for Steven Bell. I read all the threads but I want to know for sure. I bought the JDM roof spoiler from built4race and the curvature of the spoiler is not the same contour/curvature of the TL's roof line where the spoiler should meet. How did you get yours to curve exactly? I'm wondering if they sent me the wrong spoiler because mine didn't come with self adhesive either.
Thanks.

Hi Kitt,
My spoiler did not fit the contour of my rear window. I used two layers of double sided tape and it stayed down (contoured to the glass) for two days. But I've been watching it very closely and it doesn't seem to be a problem. Obviously, I'm going to keep a close eye on it. I've read some other threads that show some epoxy that is supposed to permenantly adhere the spoiler. Be sure to check it out.

Hello Steven:
Thanks for the reply. I saw that the spoiler doesn't conform to the shape of the rear window but my issue is the curve of the top of the roof spoiler does not curve to the shape of the TL's roof not the TL's glass. Do you see what I'm saying? Thanks again. I'm new here so I'll try to show you a picture of how it looks.

Hello ssmtl2nv:
Kindly tell me if your roof spoiler was made like mine. I noticed that the curve of the top of my roof spoiler does not curve to the shape of the TL's roof not the TL's glass. Is that how yours was. If so did you have to force the spoiler to shape like the TL's roof?
Thanks

Kitt,
I see what you're asking about-sorry I didn't understand the first time. Mine did the same thing yours did. I just positioned it properly on the back window. I put mine partially on top of the black lip above the rear window.

I have built4race saved.. you can see his store here.
http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZbuilt4race
Unfortunetely he does not seem to have the 'Acura TL roof spoiler' listed..
This is the item you would be looking for [except it's for "honda civics"]
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/06-07...spagenameZWDVW
I bought my spoiler from built4race [then sold it to a member here a few months after], they used the same picture--just advertised different name. If anything, contact built4race... and ask if he has any for the TL.
Generally speaking, the roof spoiler as seen above doesn't have a 100% fitment.. so this advertised 'honda civic' roof spoiler MAY work on the TL.
Hope this helps.

I think the eBay ones are the Sarona spoilers. They tend to go for about $300. Is the difference between that and the "JDM" ones really that noticable? Is there a big fitment or quality difference?
