rockstar143's '04 NBP progress thread (part deux continues after 6 year hiatus)
Bruh...hustle on wheelflip and get something quality for that!
Okay, thoughts...I had them before and loved them. I'm still breaking them in...they seem decently quiet...have a soft sidewall though (or it's the bump to 235 instead of 225 and the camber adjustments I've made too)...for what the car is intended, they get the job done well...not too loud, ride well in the rain and dry. I mean, they aren't the BEST tires but at $270 shipped for the set during black friday last month...I couldn't justify paying double the cost for the Sumitomo I had my eye on at tirerack.
Thanks, Q...
I liked yesterday's pics too!

Car looks great man! I love how you still tinker with your car with the family. Gives me motivation to try and make time for my cars. Funny how having a kid makes the lowered ride come up a bit lol
I am slowly awaiting for you to join Vankulture lol
1 kid, 1 wife, 3 DOGS = minivan time lol

Bite your tongue!
Thanks RJ...but you're kind of my inspiration too because you're still heavy into going to meets and always fucking with your cars! At least that's how I always see it!
Yeah, the baby is cool, man...can't snap her neck on a damn pothole!

9" wide and yes, I just went with 235 this round.

Okay, so had a majorly hard time with Lightroom uploading to Flickr...waited a few days to see if it would rectify but to no avail. I didn't realize how much I love taking my pics and uploading them to look at them on my phone and whatnot...sucked to not be able to. Finally figured out how to export the pics to computer, then manually upload.
Lots of similar angles, but oh well...

So shiny!
That second to last picture, I kept trying to figure out what the grey diamond looking "stick-on vent" thing was on the rear bumper. Then I realized it was a reflection.
You should get some stick-on vents!

I have issues with Flickr. So I don't even host anymore. I never knew you could upload from lightroom directly to Flickr... We da opposite.
I know it, Chip said the same...
but yeah, export services...then log in and it'll go straight to Flickr and even add your watermark.
Dude, saw a CLEAN anthracite 04/05 TL this morning...was trying to torment you with a picture but there was a lady sitting in the other car in the parking lot next to it in front of the house...she was looking at me like...dafuq you lookin at...

Nicely done
It's a good idea to export pictures so you can control quality among other export settings.
You and I, we're both missing the the ignition ring

We are?
Ignition ring is supposed to have an o-ring or something? I bet it disintegrated years ago!

I need to make more time to jump onto AcuraZine more often. When I do get the time, the first thread I checkout is usually yours. Your car is phucking stunning!! And the information you (and a few others) provide is greatly appreciated.

this old thing?
Thanks Marcel!
Thanks Marcel!
Okay, well...at Thanh's recommendation, new dessicant packs added...couldn't get the old ones out with heads on car, and was afraid to have the bags break and the powder/clay strewn inside the assembly, so I left em.
Thanks, Thanh!
and also replaced the license plate area to be able to run no plate frame and all 4 bolt holes lined up.
I think it looks simpler, and cleaner.

I hope the siliva gel packets solve your condensation problem
I can drive all day, all night, rain or snow, and zero condensation since I resealed my headlights (with 3M butyl instead of Morimoto) and added the silica pack.

You won't regret it, they are cheap enough to not worry about it...and at least you'll have finally picked a car!

I know I know. I want at least 08 or Type S...
I just don't want to do the 105k. Unless I find one that has the 105 done already.
