He just said that he doesn't believe in putting the unbalanced lightweight pulley on for the sake of minuscule gains. He said the job of the dampener helps keep the crank bearings from wearing out
and just overall balances the engine and makes it feel smoother. My neighbor and close friend used to also be an Acura Tech and ran a private performance shop and he mirrored the sentiment. Good
enough for me.

Could it be the alternator? I have the pulley and flywheel without any issues. Same with a bunch of my friends. I always heard the pulley isn't actually a balancer though and that the crank is balanced internally.

@numairh I heard that too but
it's odd that it feels different
to me.
I would almost encourage you to slap your stock one back on
and drive around for a week just to see. Easy enough to do.
I might give it a week and swap back to see how I feel.

Thanks, dude...
I actually just applied a credit I had for the axle boot rebuild kit and bought one at the dealer. Fuck it, it does annoy me that it's broken...even if it's pricey.
Funny, I had to swap the cf piece over and was dreading it, then realized I barely put any tape on it knowing one day I'd have to pry it off

go to oemacuraparts and order them its still available just the stupid back order.
#2171
but if it's on backorder...
and it's discontinued...
it'll never get fulfilled.
The dealer legit searched inventory and said nowhere in the states has ANY.
@gatrhumpy knows...we had found the front for a good deal and ordered it
and weeks went by and they canceled the order IIRC.

@truonghthe where were you able to actually SEE the inventory being 6 left?
To be honest...I'm okay not getting the rear one since I'll never see it...but if it turns
up and I miss the chance to own it I'll regret not snatching it up.
So far, 85122 bulbs haven't flickered once...I think those CBI were bootleg or something.
I bent the pins on the clock/ac display up top and got it to stop dimming itself..I looked that up, fucking $350
Other than that...the lower control arms with new compliance bushings are sweet as fuck.
Also, decided to bite the bullet and replace the sliding door for the cup holders. I hated that thing being broken.
Not bad for 195K Miles
After driving around for a day with the stock crank pulley and doing some reading about the difference in
hamonic balancers and engine dampers...I realized that the J motor doesn't need it because of the 60%
angle and how well the motor is balanced to begin with. I think if i were going to have a problem, I would have
seen it over the last 70K miles that it's been on the car. Threw a little antiseize on that bitch this time around.
My main reason for putting it back on was that the car just felt heavier down low...because of that I felt like I was
heavier on the throttle netting me worse gas mileage. I'm so big on the car being fun to drive that I felt like without
confirming it to be a problem, I wasn't willing to take a step back on that.
Anyway...she's a bad bitch...

Car looks awesome and I think it’s awesome we both have the same amount of miles. People ask about my car and they’re complimenting it, and I usually say Not bad for almost 200k on her huh?
any exhaust mods done to this one?

pure as fuck, that blue ice 99% heisenberg shit.
Naw Kev...no plans to sell, my man...just enjoying getting her cleaned up and driving the way I had forgotten she can.
With the front end tightened up it really is a joy to drive and row through the gears. The Audi would go first between the
two sedans.

Oh don’t worry I read all about that exhaust when I was researching, that would’ve been my first choice. But I settled for PCDs and an endless rpm jpipe. I did a drive by video last night. Had my wife record it hahah it’s on my thread

Did she see, and provide commentary on, any cool moths or other bugs while filming?

I live by a huge pond and fortunately no bugs yet hahah but she did say she’s driving next time and I will record. She’s been driving a manual ever since we dated-taught her in my focus

Null and proud of it
Two days ago here. It beat the living sh*t out of South Mississippi dropping an EF-4 and an EF-2 tornado there. Meanwhile, about 120 miles southwest in New Orleans, barely a drop of rain.
I got rained on while driving on I-10 for a little while but it wasn't bad really... It was extremely windy before the rain that morning though...
All in all, it wasn't too bad down here, but it was a total nightmare two hours North.

@90foxnotch yeah dude...I actually bought a used one and put it on my black TL...then bought the blue TL and it already had it on there.
and it's a shame you missed @cu2wagon 's joke...that was hilarious...it was my fiancee recording me in the Audi when I did the exhaust...and her ADD.
