this is what happens some f-ing punk decides to chuck a softball sized rock off a freeway overpass!! hit me dead center i was traveling about 70 mph. lucky for me i was wearing my sunglasses, it didn't go through thanks to the protective film in between the glass but it splinterd into a thousand tiny shards of glass. scared the shit out of me! got off freeway, but didn't catch him, very lucky for him, his life would have ended that day!

I would of gotten life in prison if I found him just like you. Sorry man, it is probably better off you didnt find him.

 

Man, that really sucks - I would kill the kid if I caught them too. Nothing like busting your rear to have a nice car only to have some punk do something stupid to ruin it for you.

 

i went straight to the chp station and reported the incident, then called my insurance co. they came out the same day and i set up an appointment w/ safelite auto galss and it was replaced the next day! $563 insurance covered it me and my wallet were thankfull! i guess thats why we shell out that $ every month, for things like this.

Yeh..that's crazy. I remember here in Maryland that was a big thing last year. One couple died I believe in one of hte incidents. Another, the guy swerve to the side of the highway, got out his car and ran over the hill and followed the kids home as they were running. The couple that died was a big thing because it wasn't a small stone. It was like minature boulder, smashed through the window killingthe driver instantly.

 

I hope they find the punk who did this and put him under the jail. To me, this is attempted murder--what else do you expect to occur when you chuck a heavy rock over a freeway bridge onto a moving car?

When I was a kid, we actually use to piss off an overpass when we saw a convertible coming... Never threw rocks/objects..

man my heart goes out to you. same thing happened to me in my accord. travelling pretty fast and out of no where a rock hits my windshield. it was dropped from above for sure. then i quickly parked the car think about what just happened and ran to the overpass. then i found the two stupid little teenagers ( i a 18 year old (not 35)) and friggin just went crazy on the little nut told him to wait here while i get the cops so the bastard started to run so did i. then their god damn dad pops out of no where and tells me that they were having fun!!! i was like ah hell no u almost killed me so i shoved the dad out of frustration and called the police and busted their ass. damn man it sucks. thank god i was saved it was massive.

that sucks, a few weeks ago they were warning drivers here on the radio that at a certain overpass there was children throwing stuff on the freeway...i happend to be driving by that overpass but didnt see anyone, they must have split
