Here are some new pics. My old thread seems to have been ruined by my picture host, but there are some changes... new eibach springs, aem intake and comptech rear sway bar... deck lid spoiler is off, awaiting free replacement from the seller this week due to some paint cracking. Thanks to Lokius for much inspiration... I probably wouldn't have gone with the smoked look unless I had seen his car first... very cool.

very nice.. love the look of the smoked lights.. what about the front lights? did you just stick on the vinyl films over the yellow part? or did you open the housing up and do it the hard way?

Jin - I applied the films to all the lights (Except front markers becuase they are already grey) and for the headlights, I applied the films which smoked the whole headlight, and then used a razor to cut the film so that only the orange area was smoked. I made the cut curved becuase I thought it fit the lines of the headlights more and helped mask the orange more from certain angles.
dezzz- thanks! I think this 1.2" or so drop is just right... the wheels look tucked but not totally falling down on the wheel.

Question for your headlights:
1. How hard it is to make a curvy cut?
2. The cut line. Does it look obvious on your headlight? I've been planning to do it, but I'm kinda worry it that ppl will see the cut line.
Thanks.

AcuraLovr - the ride is very nice so far. i can definitely feel a harder surface on bumps but I find that reassuring and it's not all that dramatic. overall it feels a lot nicer to me and definitely stiffer and sportier.
Jin - yep. 18" ronjon inspyres in silver metallic. either soon or after the winter, not sure yet, gotta look at finances.
Foot - cutting the headlight film was fairly easy. i made sure it was all appliednicely and bubble free first, that took some time and several tries. once it was on, cutting it was quite easy with an exacto type razor. I freehanded it but it would have been a much better idea to measure and plan the cuts and use a thin sharpie to mark where the cut was going to happen. visually it's not that obvious until you get up quite close, and then you can see it's been cut but it doesn't look bad at all even when you look right at the cut. i was more worried about trimming the excess film around the lights in general... i found that to be difficult as sometimes i gota jagged edge or the razor jumped and scratched my paint a bit.

Yeah I was going to say that looks like lokius' car.
I have the deck lid spoiler, just isnt on for these pics... should be on by the end of the week again... getting a replacement one due to some cracking in the first one's paint.
Man, those wheels are gonna be great. This weekend is another MD/DC/VA meet and my buddy jp-tls is bringing his 2nd gen TL with the inspyres.... gonna make me drool and probably spend more cash.

I'm required to have a front plate like everyone else. The thing is it was falling off, so i stuck it in the trunk and i havent gotten around to mounting it back up yet. I don't know, it might take me another 4 or 5 years.
I've never had front plates on living in several states... hasn't been an issue. I've even been stopped for speeding 20 over and no mention was made of the missing plate even then.

On the other hand one has to wonder if they can automatically ticket you for no front plate, via the cameras if you run a light? I should find out, did that the other day.
