Have you by any chance cleaned or replaced your MAF? Like this guy? Maybe he can come help - but only if he brings the eye protection. lol

Nice TL, Twigg, very nice. great pics.
When i was going through i thought i notice that tunnel in the pic... but i thought no, couldn't be.Then in the next pic... Saguaro Ranch! I used to work there as security years ago, the year Mclintock's opened. I miss AZ, now I'm back in MA.

Anyways this is my first time on this forum. I'm picking up an 05TL with Navi on Friday so thought I'd join the forums. It's a small world.

So the 3.2 MAF is reusable on the 3.7 manifold/TB?

Small world for sure. AZ is my true home. Grew up in Scottsdale but lived in Tucson (Oro Valley) for 10 years. Mcklintock's was awesome. I lived about 5 miles from there in Rancho Vistoso. Had many great nights at Mcklintock's but it's been closed for about 3 years now. That community is filled with half built 5 mil dollars homes. After the market took a shit on 08, it just couldn't sustain itself. I guess it's hard when the minimum price for a lot was 1 mil... Amazing scenery though.

Calling Anil!!!

You have any idea what the difference between these two parts is? I am trying to order a few things and found 2 parts for the manifold cover that have the same part number. One is "Acura" and the other is "Honda".

Also - Did Tim at OEM Acura Parts get the coupon code working? Everything is cheaper at Honda Parts Unlimited but I'd rather order from an AZine vendor.

yes the coupon code is working....do send him an email with the part numbers and he will send you back a quote and you can just give him your CC details

and the difference between 2 parts is one will say Honda and the other will say Acura....both are the same manifold covers....

Thanks - I emailed Tim as well.

I will be getting more into shortly from you on your P&P dood!

New wheels go on this weekend. Just received the TPMS adapters yesterday. Still waiting on the ISC's from Josh, I guess they were on back order. he thinks I will have tracking on those by tomorrow.

Put the new wheels on today. It rained a bunch so I was only able to get one crappy cell phone pic. More to come soon!

Thanks bro. I know you're not a fan of split spokes. Honestly, they even look better than I thought they would.

UPDATE....................

ordered a bunch if parts for my j37 manifold /TB conversion.

I also noticed an exhaust leak yesterday. My car sounded like a boosted G35 when I started it up. AWESOME but not normal. LOL. Took it to an exhaust shop and found out I had a roasted gasket that was causing the leak. Sorry for the awful picture.

Took some pics while I was getting the new gasket. Probably going to replace the rest of the nasty and worn gaskets. The guy at the shop I went to said the flanges on my Tanabe Tour Medallion were slightly warped. He had to put in a gasket that was the thickness of two standard gaskets.

One of the bolts snapped in half when removing it.

Also realized I'm going to need a new jpipe pretty damn soon. This one has some serious scrapage on it. Just to give you an idea. This jpipe is the very first XLR8 V1 pipe. I was the test vehicle. This thing has lasted me a ling time!

Yea I love it too. Sometimes I do wish it was a bit louder but I have to say that it's wonderful to have ZERO drone. I'm also going to be in Canton in mid August. Hopefully I can bring the TL and maybe meet up with some of you guys.

shit man, I'm eager too. Anxious is probably a better word.

In preparation for my upcoming adventure I thought I'd post up a really old dyno. My only baseline to go off. It's all I got boys!
  • The 209 HP line is my car with an AEM V1
  • The 215 HP line is my car with an AEM V1 and an XLR8 Resonated Exhaust.
Dyno was performed at the BB shop in Phx. Low humidity on a nice, mild day.

At the time, the car had about 45,000 miles on it. And note:
  • my car is a 5AT
  • Since this dyno was performed I have added more mods
  • P2R TB spacer and gasket
  • XLR8 jpipe
  • XLR8 HFC
  • Removed XLR8 Resonated Exhaust and replaced with Tanabe Tour Medallion
  • XLR8 Motor Mounts

am glad you have a baseline dyno to compare with....

am very very sad to see only 209 with the intake....I would have assumed atleast 215-ish with the intake and 220-ish with the exhaust...

some local might be hosting a dyno day here and am eager to go....i will be supremely disappointed if am traveling that week....i need to head to the dyno and see what am making

What does it normally cost? The place next to where I live charges $75 for 3 pulls on a dynojet.

Anil, i do not. Only person that might is Josh at Excelerate. He is the one that cordinated all this through Billy Boat back when the exhaust was being developed.

Small update. I bought 9 quarts of redline and had it in my trunk to transport it. Not sure how but one of the bottles cracked near the seal at the top and leaked in the trunk. The smell is awful! I took everything out and looked inside the bottle that had the crack. It honestly looked like hardly any came out at all. However, I think because it was rolling around in the trunk it was able to get everywhere. Drove around for 2 days and the smell never changed. Steam cleaned the entire trunk on Wed - smell stayed the same!

This brings me to today. I had a migraine all day. They run in my family but I personally have not had one in years. Maybe it was the chemicals, maybe not? Either way, I ripped out all the carpet and threw it in the dumpster.

Maybe this is a sign from the God of Speed to start my weight reduction!

Also - I've got some tails that I need to install. I've only had them sitting pretty in the basement for about 9 months.

Twiggy-the tails look great.

Sorry to hear about the migraine-I lived with someone who had terrible migraines. I know how debilitating they can be.
