Won't be attending, unfortunately. I do want to make some time to come down for one of the KC Bi-Weekly meets though.

I am going to post this in some of the Conti DWS comparison threads but wanted to throw it in here as well. My last 4 sets of tires have been...

Nitto Invo - 235x35x19
Conti DW - 235x35x19
Conti DWS - 235x25x17 (on stock wheels and current winter setup)
Nitto Motivo - 235x35x19 (on aftermarket wheels and current summer setup)

Let me say that they have all been good tires. I did feel that the Conti DW wore a little faster than the rest. But in comparison between the DWS and the Motivo here is my thought and a little background on driving conditions.

Both the stock size DWS and the 19" Motivo have been driven in the snow. Both worked well in the snow but I must say that the Motivo offered more traction/less slip in deeper snow. We had a snow day this year and we got 12" of snow and I had to drive my poor car that day... Drove slow and made it home without any issues. Keep in mind I saw countless people stuck on the side of the road. Here are a few pictures of my drive home that day.

Both tires have also been driven in warm weather and rain. The biggest differences for me are that the DWS feels squishier. I can only assume that some of this is because the DWS is a 45 series tire vs. the Motivo being a 35 series tire. If you are needing to make a decision on which tire, my first choice would be the Motivo. And the biggest reason is the noise level. The DWS is absolutely a louder tire. It's far from overly loud, but it is a louder tire.

Keep in mind that this comparison is on two tires with almost equal mileage. My Motivo's have 9,000 miles on them, which I just took off so I can order new wheels. The DWS, which I just put back on have around 7,500 miles on them.

Not a perfect review but these are my thoughts.

No problem Zachlone. They are for sure the best tires I've had on the Tee Ehl. I also had a set of Toyo T1R's. Those tires were dog shit so I didn't even mention them.

Thanks man. I don't think I'd ever part with the CSL. Especially since it's the CF version, not the fiber glass. Those foams are originals too. Had them since they came out in 97... I think that was the year they wer released.

Yea, that background was always nice... Walk out my front door and there it was. All those pics were taken less than 5 min from my house.

This is very true... I'm thinking about it. I'm ordering new wheels too. Priorities! Sell it to me for $250 shipped.

Congratulations on ruining one of the best looking wheels of ALL TIME!

I remember when you first put them on your car and I knew I had to have them. Unfortunately, RH stopped selling them by the time I bought my car so I got the RJ Legends instead.

Thanks for the compliment/insult? I think... I am well aware that I made a poor decision on getting them powder coated. On the bright side that nasty mess on the lips is just dirt. The clear coat on the lips bubbled up and dirt seeped in through the backside. I removed a portion of the clear and the mess wiped right off and the original coating shined right through. I have some aircraft stripper and I am going to just completely strip them. Might have them refinished, might sell them. Just not sure yet. I'd love to have them rebuilt through Memoryfab or one of their qualified competitors, however I have looked into the cost and to do them properly it will cost upwards of $2,000. (by properly I mean making them wider and also putting a more aggressive offset on them).

You and my wife are the only 2 people I have ever heard say "I Miss St. Louis"... What do you miss? The clouds? Rain? Morbidly Obese population? LOL...

Then again, My wife is Thai and she has a lot of Indian friends. The Asian population here is surprisingly high so maybe you miss the awesome food.

I need to get over to KC for a meet with you guys. Unfortunately it just can't be this weekend for the big one.

STL is actually a damn nice city....it has the perfect mix of a fast paced and amazing nightlife AND the kick back and enjoy in your yard...

I was in NY for 2 years and then in STL for 2 years and now in KC for 4 years....KC is very very laid back and nightlife is not the best around here....NY is very fast paced and amazing nightlife....to me STL offered a very good mix of both....

Well Indian/Asian population is everywhere and food is better in KC (trust me) but still STL had something that hit home with me

I do agree that this is a pretty "cool" city. Nightlife is good if you live near Soulard, Downtown or the Central West End. I have only been here for 18 months and the transition has been a process for me. Living in Phx/Scottsdale for almost my whole life, it's hard to compare. Awesome weather all year. No natural disasters, absolutely gorgeous women. Close to the beach. PALM TREES and Cacti! I do miss it.

If you ever find your way over here hit me up. My wife/soon to be ex's family is in the restaurant business and I know where all of the good Thai and Vietnamese restaurants are.

It's as good as it can be. I moved to my own place this past weekend. We are still friends and are doing everything without lawyers. She is going to live at her parents for a while with our 6 and 2 year old. I moved 3 miles up the road. I am still close to her family and still see them everyday. She runs her moms Sushi restaurant and works nights so I go to her parents house almost everyday after work to watch our kids. When she gets home I leave and go to my place. It seems like an odd situation from the outside but we make it work.

LOL at Lifetime Fitness!

If it were not for me moving a few days ago and getting everything straightened out in my life I'd for sure be at the meet this weekend. I need to get over there for your biweekly's so let me know when you start those up again. Or maybe they are just ongoing?

^^^ A member of this forum "KB1Spec" made a handful of them about 4 years ago. There was a Fiber Glass version that was color matched to your car and also an option of a CF spoiler. I purchased mine from another member of this forum in the BM about 2 years ago.

Every once in a while one will pop up in the BM for a pretty penny.

Yea I'm a total sucker for lips and mesh like spokes. One of these days I'll go concave on that ass. I thought about some Forgestars but didn't want to wait. I'm an antsy sombish!

Still waiting on a reply about those lower runners.

Wanted to provide an update and get the proverbial "bump" at the same time. I've been pretty damn busy with work, moving and trying to mod the car some more. Moved to my new place 2 weeks ago and getting situated. Thankfully I have a garage again. I hated not having one for the past year and a half.

Here is another pic of the wheels that will be going on. Not much of a teaser but here you go. Didn't want to go super aggressive so with the help of several members, but mostly Rockstar (Jeremy) I decided on 19x9+36 up front and 19x9+30 in the rear.

I also want to thank Swoosh (Anil) and Yungone501 (Robert) in helping me on several questions I had regarding engine modification. Anil has been down this road recently and I must say, speaking to Robert through text was like going back to college. Some knowledge was dropped for sure. With the information I received from them I purchased P&P lower intake runners and also a SHAWD MDX j37 Manifold. Not sure how far into the build process I will go but this is the start. You two have been awesome in answering my questions and I can't thank you enough!

Ordered new coils from Josh at Excelerate Performance. Went with the XLR8 ISC - Medium Stiff. My Tein SS have been amazing but wanted to change it up and now seemed to be a good time to do so. Old cols have tentatively been sold but if that falls through you will soon find them in the BM... And I am not referring to a Bowel Movement.

Also ordered 9 quarts of redline fluid - Time for some drain and refills.

I bought some tails last year and had AckTL modify them. Need to get those on since they have been sitting in the basement looking pretty for about 9 months.

Lastly, really need to take care of the front compliance bushings so that will also come in the next few months.

Thanks for looking guys, I hope to update this with great stuff soon!

Thanks Anil.... I need to start looking for the TB. Plus the inlet is larger too, correct? Which means I need to get a different intake.

Yes...the SHAWD TL inlet it bigger, if my setup wasnt spoken for, I would have gladly sold you my full intake setup...

now the SHAWD TL TB is very expensive....some people had had luck with the RDX SHAWD TB....that is 170-200bucks and the TL TB is 400-ish....so look into it

also look into a 3.5 or a 4" intake....I have a 4" CAI....love it....

do check....I am not sure if they fixed the issue and are running fine....you can always use your MAF sensor (as compared to new sensor) to see if the issue goes away
