Random Shots
I've been trying to learn to work this camera; wasn't really brave enough to post these, but I was encouraged to by a fellow AZiner. Here goes nothing - a few cruise shots, a few still car shots, and a few extras! Please critique...more of what I'm doing wrong!

Thanks for looking!

Thank you, thank you kind sir!
Thanks man! Used a Nikon D5000; it's okay in perspective! I was reading up on it, and apparently it's almost identical to the D40, except with a few minor upgrades; like 3 times the price
. I'm getting rid of soon...good thing Costco has a great return policy! Yes sir, D5000 by Nikon. If you ever contemplate with these Nikon, don't get the 5000
lol. Albeit, it still takes some great shots! Thanks for looking!!!thanks man! my favorite's the picture of the Seattle! Although, it could be a little clearer...but

Come out and hang sometime you OLD MARRIED MAN! hahaha JP!!!
HAHA thanks man. The TL, I still have. I sold it, but the day I took delivery (when all hell broke lose), I took it back. I ripped up all the papers, in fact. LOL...*sigh* probably should have been a little nicer about it...
Thanks! The feet...hm...LOL
I guess it's...a silhouette shot
haha...sort of
Thank you, thank you! You can get to Alki via the West Seattle Bridge. If you're going I-5 North, you'll see a HUGE TULLY'S factory (used to be some beer facility). You take the very same exit following the building. Follow until you see the Harbor Ave exit! Take a right turn immediately following, and drive down onto Alki!

I'm no expert, believe me! But I have 2 roommates who're complete camera whores! Apparently (read reviews by Ken Rockwell), the D5000 is comparable to the D40, but for 3 times the price. The body of the D5000 still remains to be plastic, and because it's so compact, it only features a very limited processor, and a few MINOR aspects of the higher end cameras. The D90 on the other hand, is comparable to the D300, but in a very competitive manner! The D5000's a great camera, don't get me wrong, just not the best bang for your buck...ya know what I mean? The only cool think about the D5000 that really stands out is the LCD, and that's only because it swivels. Quality wise however, the LCD screen is under-par compared to the D90 and higher end models.
Pics are pretty good, dont be scared to post your pics that you think arent "professional" especially here in AZ people are nice here and will help you out
.
But i thought the D5000 had the same 12.3 megapixel sensor as the D90?
It also takes video and you can do those stop motion pics.

I asked because I'm looking around for a nice DSLR camera and don't want to rule anything out just yet. But for not being the best bang for your buck, those shots turned out amazing.
You're so ghey. LOL it's KIM...heart or gang sign, you choose

I know her name! I wasn't sure if you wanted everyone in the world to know as well

I would come, but you know me I'm a sloooow cruiser not a racer like you guys. I'm going to be preping my car for the winter time. Full Detail coming soon! Then lets go meet up at the wall or Alki so you can practice some more.

Nice pictures man! Pic 2 is kind of trippy with that person in the passenger seat haha. Pic 10 is awesome, the best in the group imo. The saturation and the background really makes that picture stand out

You're right about the D5000 and the D90 being the same megapixel...age. But from what I can understand, even though 2 cameras have the same "amount" of pixels, it doesn't make them the same. Again, an amateur here, but as I've read, the D90 simply processes pictures better. The light sensor is also tons better! It's an entry level camera that does almost the same thing as Nikon's pro-series cameras (D300), but for a fraction of the cost. The LCD screen is better...and a few other mumbo-jumbo that I don't understand
. I bought the series kit from Costco, which (I thought) came with a bunch of great stuff. As it turns out, the lens and other small "goodies" that come along with it, are absolute JUNK! Lenses are apparently SUPER expensive...
confusing...................
