jptl04, might this be one of your next mods?? Just recently saw this mod and immediately thought about your ride. I saw a couple better ones (more usable displays instead of just lights) but this was the best pic i could find.

heads up the di-noc does not like the plastic the mirror is made of. doesnt stick very well.

i only did the front face of the mirror. so the outside looks the same. i might re-do it. but i need to take the mirror off and take my time. there is a line around the whole thing where it comes apart. im thinking i need to take it apart and wrap the di-noc around the backside. then snap it back together, that should stop it from wanting to peel off.

the bigger piece where the dome lights are was not a problem

That and the upper navi display area.

Does this mean the auto-dimming feature isn't usable now?

JPTL04- Awesome setup. Great attention to detail and symmetry look. I had a question about the dvd in the arm rest. I'm just about to start mod-ding my 05 TL, and I am trying to remove the cupholder, but don't want to break it. How did you remove it, and how well did the Myron Davis from you previous setup work? Thanks.

i removed the di-noc from the mirror. all you would have to do is cut out the spots where the sensors are. i might do it later.

scuffing it might work i guess. these cosmetic mods dont take long at all.

you gotta pop off the plastic border around the sliding cup holder. once thats off theres some clips on each end you might have to break the tabs i dont remember. then it just slides out. the Myron Davis player worked absolutely perfect. and the fit is dead on. i just went a lil more on the expensive side with my new system my Pioneer is a 6 disc changer. around $500

thanks, yeah this stuff is pretty cool.

here is another minuscule cosmetic mod i just did. i used some real carbon fiber laminate for the ends of the headlight and wiper stocks/combination switches on the steering column. i used the real stuff because my column cover is wrapped in real CF the match is pretty good. here are some pics enjoy

its a small piece but very noticeable every time you enter the vehicle.
its all in the details baby

Ever consider replacing the black leather you used on your gauge panel with cf or wanna be cf? I think that would look great!

i removed the mirror piece. the only things that have the di-noc are the overhead light housing, 2 steering wheel button panels, 4 small buttons on the seats and the trim on the door sills. all really small pieces, and if you're not looking you wont even notice them. i try to limit the use of the di-noc since its not real. everything else you see is real carbon fiber

the first time i wrapped it in headliner material. i re-did it in black leather. CF might look nice if its the real shit. but it might be too much.

This is the first time I saw this thread....and wow. I kindof regret it I've never been so envious and hateful and amazed all at the same time lol. It's like every page I'm like WHAT? another mod? You did WHAT? no way! I think I'm sold on the Sarona roof lip now, the only question is to go with a black roof & CF lip or stick with all white...

You should seriously work for Acura man. Way to represent WDP. I think the endless debate on the best color out there can now safely be put to rest

p.s. what are your cleaning/waxing products?

Your car has been one of my favorites, ever since I rolled up with the caravan to Acurafest last year. Your mods look factory and are subtle, but they are extremely precise and separate your car from the rest of the WDP's. As always, your car is looking great, we need to do another shoot sometime.

BTW, I am getting a mod soon that I think you will be very interested in, I will be in contact with you about it soon...

Quick Reply: Quest for the cleanest modded TL-S continues! (New mods and V1 install 4/28)
