Quartz leather seats replacement with pics

Guys!! like i said before i would post pics when i replace my leather. I only ordered the bottom portion of the leather because everything looks new and no cracks except for the bottom. Took me a good 2-3 hours for me and my friend to replace this. It was kinda hard in the beginning but my good friend knew what he was doing since he does it for warranty at his work. The leather look wrinkly in one of the pics but then i stretched it and tighten it. The sun will heal and contour the shape of the leather but i conditioned it. I will post up pics of the old leather tomorrow morning as im lazy to go to the garage and do it. LOL But the leather feels like the new sporty car leather and its not slippery. Makes my car smell like a BRAND NEW CAR. after i conditioned it, it felt just a tad better but i like the feel and the quality. !! Thanks guys for the check up!

Huge improvement over the before pix - what happened to them?? Hard to tell in the pix, but are you concerned or is there a big difference in color between the seat bottoms and the backs?

I don't see too much of a difference on the pass. side, but it appears like a color difference on the driver's side. It could be lighting at the time of the pic, but good job anyway. It's a huge difference from what you had. If there is a color difference, it's probably tough to get leathers the exact same color because of differences in dye lots.

if you really go at the seat backs with some good leather cleaner you can probably get a closer match. they look great

Here are the pics of the old seats, they are pretty much kinda easy to put in except for the hog rings which was a pain to take off and put in, but you had to remove the metal rods from olds seats and put in the new ones If anyone planning to redo. I dodnt know so i had to redo the driver and take off the hogs again. Now the rods makes the cover hog into the cushion more. Get it? Hog rings = hogs the seats... I crack myself up sometimes....NOT!

I know i know, the old one sucks, we got the car in 2009 or 2010, its a 11 year old car. The previous owner prolly had something sharp in his pocket and sat and dragged it opened. never really gotten to change it until now. What a big change though.

^^^ Me too...I had the fronts replaced under warranty, but it would be great to know what the total cost would be (for future reference).

It would be interesting to know the full cost, but doubt I will be replacing mine as they are still in great shape.

It won't be cheap. Actually, I was not impressed with the quality of the leather either. Lot's and lots of creases on the fronts.

For whatever reason, mine are still in pretty good shape. I do have some creasing on the driver's seat left bolster, but again overall very good shape. I'm still low miles (54K) so I'm sure that helps.

OP did they sent you a sample prior to choose a color that almost match your original color?

I'd love to get my seats steamed and stretched. I wasn't happy with the look from Day 1.

$300 is more reasonable than $600 OEM bottom piece.

OP, Forgive me if I've missed it somewhere; but where did you buy these from? I've considered tearing my seats apart and buying the materials and just doing new ones myself, but I don't have a machine to do the sewing nor do I know how to sew them.

Buying new would just be so much easier to swap in!

its not re sewed on. it was put back on with hog rings that clamps to the rod in the cushion seats. Very easy to put on.

the orignal seats had some tears already when we got the car back in 2007 so it got worst since then til now. prolly previous owner has something sharp in his butt and when he got out of the car, it dragged or it poked it
