Polished Base exhaust inside and out

I made this post here, seeing as the wash and wax section has other cars, and I was looking to see what feedback I get from other 3g TL owners.

Sorry about the pictures, from my phone and resized

here it was before

and of course after

Excuse the dust in the before picture. I had never really cleaned well inside them as I had always intended on just repainting them. I decided I would give this a shot as I had never seen anyone do this, so please let me know what you think about it. If someone else has done this let me know how! It was a pain for sure!

Thanks for looking

It has been done, but good job! I used BarKeepers Friend ($1.50 from Wally world) worked very well, just a lot of elbow grease needed, and gloves!

Did this in August.

The outcome is sooooo nice.

Supposedly the black paint inside isn't supposed to come off.

Oh well, looks better on SSM.

Polishing the outside takes a few minutes.

Polishing the inside is what's hard, because the paint isn't supposed to come off.

I spent hours on it, using a rag (tip: don't use a rag, use steel wool or something!).

Forgot to wear gloves, and got a blister. FML.

It's been months so blister is long gone now.

So worth it though.

Wow...I wanna try that. I think I'd start with an acetone-based product to strip the black paint out.
