Plasti-dip
Hey guys I've decided to dip my ride and I took the time to pick this color. For now the car is still missing its spoiler (the big factory one) and the emblems are being done too but I will only get them next week since they are moving to a bigger garage. They will apply another layer of orange during this same week. So my question to you guys is should I knew the hood orange? And what do you think of the color? (use constructive comments plz you dont need to agree with my chose, but be respectful thank you !)

As long as you like the colour, I guess.
It just brings me back to the fact that plasti-dipping isn't that cheap.
You need to buy a lot to get full coverage, and it adds up.
I think I would vinyl my car if I were to change the colour.

It doesn't look that bad, granted the orange color doesn't fit the personality of the TL sedan.. Your two tone job looks nice. But it's out of place on a TL
Let me add that if you like it then rock it. If I saw it at a car show I would not hate on it, it's unique.

II ended up using 3 gallons of matte black ($165), gallon if clear matte($55) and gallon of glossifier($66) to mix with 100g of sazuka blue pearls. ($40). So around $350 in product, 6hrs from prep o finish. The sprayer me and 5 buddies chipped in for so I'm maybe at $400 for it total including masking supplies and stuff.
Id like to try vinyl one day but I can barely get damn stickers on my sons lego kits right lol. Plus it's super time consuming from what I've been told.
It's still sort of new but the colors and stuff available and coming soon are pretty kickass when you sit back and think, my grandpa used this stuff to make handled on his tools!

I know there are a lot of hatters out there but I have been thinking about doing this as well. Koi Orange Plasti Dip. Glad someone else did it cause its not bright enough and doesnt compliment the car like I had hoped. I love the color orange though.
I still think it looks good, just not as good as I would have wanted. The blue one looks SICK though! nice job on the glossifyer too!

Ive always wondered what constitutes a hater.
because OP put work into his car; he surely likes it.
however; one merely expressing his interest or lack of doesnt make one a hater.
I think there are way better color choices for the TL than orange.
But that doesnt make me a hater.
it simply means that I dont enjoy his color choice.
and that is okay.
just like its okay for him to put that atrocious color on his TL.

I like it. Keep the roof like that or you have to go full dukes of hazard Also get rid of the silver trim pieces. I would love to plasti-dip my car...back to the original color. Paint is just too hard to take care of up north on a daily
