jmaido,

Your car is tight. Personally, those rims don't fit my taste, but Im sure they look sweet when you're rollin on the highway with the chrome. Not many peeps have 20s on their TL. More power to ya!

Don't like the wheels, they just don't seem to fit the look of the car. And they look like they'll be curbed very easily. Or maybe it's just me, I always seem to eat my wheels up. Just my personal thoughts, but you got what you liked and that's what matters. Anyway, I'm loving the color of your car, it's the first time I've seen it. And I really admire your boldness for putting 20's on it. You go boy!

If driving in Northern Jersey wasn't a dodge and weave affair, 20's would be more popular. I personally don't like wheels that aren't flush with the sides....I think it all about the area you live in, Cali guys like tucking.
To me there isn't that much visual impact with some 18's and some 20's look like the person just wanted to say they have 20's. Jmadiedo, if you like them pimp them. I like 19's, sh*it I like staggered rims but that got me yelled at on another website.
Since this is the biggest post I have written, I figured I would get it all out. :thefinger

IMO, the wheels are too flashy for the car. Looks too pimped out. The factory wheels look better. Classy car, less classy wheels. But if you like it, who cares?

The first picture (from the rear quarter view looks cool) this coming from an older guy (early 30s) who doesn't give a shit about big bling statements. The front views just don't suit me. I learned recently on going even one plus size up from a 16 to 17" wheel (and 245 to 275) on my Firebird had a significant effect on steering and ride quality. I appreciate the look your after (but I happen to be a fan of tires out farther than rim), but I just hope you have not scarficed more than you're willing to accept in ride quality etc. Don't lower the car, it looks fine.
Regards,

Thumbs up

I want to keep my TL stock, but you should definetly do whatever you want to your car. I personally think your TL is SICK on those 20's. Please do me a favor and post if you have any problems with brakes, suspension, or rubbing in the future.

Hey, I like the fit.....20's look good on the TL. I plan on getting 20" myself. I am looking at a multipiece wheel like Volk's or Iforged. I think that's gives more of a european look, which I like. I give you props for not being scared to get dubs.

To keep the rotational diameter relatively the same for speedo, odometer, and trip calculations.

I am not feeling those 20s though. Kinda gaudy.

those links dont work, so i guess those titles dont exist

Heh looks good JMadiedo. If i see you rolling along with them 20's on ill give a honk... While 20's are too much for me (20's are way to heavy, want to work with something lighter) my friend has an Escalade with 22 Oasis rims, one with 20's on his GMC Envoy, and another with 22 Oasis Spinners on his LAnd Rover Discovery. while yes they are SUV's, its all about the big rims in cali.

I dont think your 20's detract too much from the TL, although the a wider tire would look a little more pleasing to the eye.

GL with everything!

Way too much wheel...
Takes away from the looks of the car.
It's not an escalade plus, without the A-ASPEC spoiler kit, it just does not look right.

I must admit that they don't look as bad as I thought they would. Still too much for my tastes, though.

I don't like it either...and the tires look like they're way too small for the rim's.....everybody has different tastes...it's just not mine. I think it makes the car look too "rice"....not classy like the car it is.

thanks for reminding me as to why i dont want to buy another honda..

and to the dude who said he was breakin necks? yeah, i'd break my neck too from laughing so hard if i saw you rolling by.. maybe because i'm older and i like my cars modified cleanly that outrageously large chromed wheels make me rofl.

but since its a free world, and those :ghey:'s over at the dub and chroming plant have families to feed.. more power to you. as long as you like it, its all that matters right?

Yo, your ride is pretty tight! Looks clean. I love chrome. I'm getting 19's pretty soon for mine. That's as big as I want to go. When I get my Lexus GS430, then I'll put the dubbies on.

Roll on dog...lookin pimp..congrats!!

The twnties actually don't look too bad in terms of size since the fenders are huge. The size of those tires is what really gets my attention. Those wheels would be horribly dented after a week of SF Bay Area commuting (at least my commute). OUCH! :shakehd:

For show/looks they look OK. I've seen accord with chromed 20's and less than 1/2 inch ground clearance.

For driving/cruising/transportation they look out of place. Rim too big for the car's lines and design. The tire is too small for the rim, offering no protection at all. A propper sized tire (245/35) will rub. Tire profile too small to allow "comfortable" lowering.

For Hwy. contests/track/handling/breaking they are useless. Good thing you state "for looks" on your sig.

anyway... as far as the ride its pretty much the same there is a slight different given the tires are 225/35 but not enough to bother me. i had 40's and 35's on my last car 2001 Acura CL on 18" and its the same difference.

I don't like them at all. I'm not a big fan of the super size wheels on anything personally. Maybe it looks better during the day but those pics are awful.

Dat looks tight yo,gotta b the first TLz I seen rolling on 20's.Saw a set just like yours on a 91 FG EB Ford Explorer all jacked on the I99 yesterday & it looked just as hotness as your ride. How dis the ride though cuz I would think it would be stiff enough to make the headliner fall down in a matter of minutes giving less headroom but no matter cuz you ride lean back style I bet when flossing in Compton ah 8.Holla at yo boyz.

Just playing, I really dont like it.
