There was a guy named Daniel something (I think it had numbers after it).
He painted his WDP and wentas far as customizing the turnsignals. Something totally out of the ordinary.

Yeah, too much white, the LEDs look ok though, different.
2 more weeks until I can finally dig in to the front end/headlights...

Ehhhhh, I dunno. I think body matched headlights can only be pulled off successfully on certain colors. Darker reds seem to have the best 'flow' with bodymatched headlights (after black, of course), but that's just my opinion.
I was toying with the idea of WDP headlights, but was concerned with the lack of contrast...suffice to say, my concerns are confirmed.

No problem, DM, glad to have helped!
Cars like the Fit can pull off color matched headlights pretty well. I think it is due to the larger headlight.
I think the WDP headlight MAY work if you say... painted the low-beam-shroud black and smoked ambers [or smoked TL-S sides].
But I remember your TL already had quite a lot of white.

Found a site that has quite a few of his images... but dang it is full of pop-ups that it is lagging my netbook!
Have to head to work now but here is a front shot:

not feeling those at all.
BUT i think you can pull off WDP colormatched headlights if you do it right, his is very very extreme, if you painted the chrome strip, ring around the projector, and fog light nipple black, then throw in some clear diffusers with blacked corners (leave turn signal reflector chrome).
those have some potential
did he actually mount little leds in those holes? or did he just drill holes? either way it isn't something i would do

Daniel123588 has actual LEDs in there. Similar function to that of a switch back. They will light up white... but will blink yellow.

THAT is the link I was trying to find.
Ok DM...that guy overdid it, no doubt. But think of your tails. The CHROME area painted gloss black, and the front portion painted WDP, and the amber diffuser blacked out with VHT Nightshades.
Still going to be legal because turns will light up amber, IMO they will match the back perfectly. Some variation of what I'm saying, you get my drift. The headon picture about ALREADY looks good IMO...and with your skill and creativity I KNOW you can make this work.

Hey, thanks man.
On the forums and in life there are 3 types of people.
1) The ones that really just plain don't like it, they usually don't have a vision or the analytical skills to look at something and make changes to it in their head to see what they would like.
2) The people that do have the aforementioned qualities and will make it look nice and become trendsetters and mod gods (which I KNOW DM is even if his car isn't for everyone).
3) The people that just come on and repeat back what others have said because forming their own opinion would be scary.
Just sayin!
Lol...no offense to anyone in particular, I've just found on these and other forums that sometimes people form their opinion based on the title of the thread before even clicking it.

I only think the dark reds/blues can pull this look off, ergo, we go with the other discussed plan next weekend.
