Painted My Grille….
I read other posts about what people were doing to their grille and I decided to have mine painted to match the car. I searched around here and I could find a picture of someone doing it with my color car so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’ve seen it on NBPs and I think it looks great in black. I took it to the body shop that I’ve used before and my guy charged me $250 for the job. This included removing the grille, sanding it down, and painting it to match the car. He also got the dents out of the doors from where people opened their doors carelessly at various parking lots, washed and detailed the car before turning it over to me and threw in a bottle of touch-up paint to use whenever I needed it. Total time to complete the job was 2 days. I think it looks nice and definitely makes it stand out from the other TLs in my area. What do you guys think?

Thanks. He has done work for me in the past when someone hit my Honda so I knew he would take good care of me. That and the fact that business has been slow due to the economy so he was happy to take any work he could get. When I told him what I wanted, he thought it would look great. He took pictures of it since he does work for the local Acura dealer here and said he would suggest it to his other customers as well. I just wish there was a way I could put some 3M protectant on it so it won't get chipped.
Thanks for the kind words fellas.

RC..great lookin' ride. Maybe consider some tints for your windows-now that you've got everything the way you want it.

Thanks man. I was looking to tint it before spring. I looked at a local reputable shop here and it will cost almost $400 to tint it. That is including the ceramic tint for the navi and removing the door panels to install the moleskin. I've seen people go the cheap route and have tiny bubbles in the tint that I'm sure will get bigger as time goes on so I figure I will get it done right. Only thing left to do is get the Type S rear lights and I will be done with it.

Wow...I don''t blame you for balking at a $400 tint job. Mine was $150-they did a great job. Hopefully you can find it less expensive. I like you short list of mods.
