Painted Grille - Painted Calipers added decal - Smoked out mirror signal lens

Smoked out my side mirror signal lenses. Colored grille to match wheels and painted TypeS emblem the same color. Colored my calipers red and added Brembo decal sticker. Tell me what you think!!!

Very innovative...
Did you cut and reweld that shifter knob?!?! I had a monstersknob one and it was countersunk but didn't sit that low! Looks cool but I like the extra leverage of a higher one...plus, hard enough to shift over my coffee mug.

Rockstar I probably cut less than half inch of threading. Was trying to be safe. Didn't cut the stick itself so no welding needed. It sits that low because the threading goes all the way up into that Anvil knob. The sales dude actually told me it would sit that low that's y i got it. www.moddiction.com And i feel you on the coffee cup situation. Bigger cups can be a problem sometimes so i drink fast and get rid of them. The joy of shifting is more important

Apparently your shift knob hasn't been circumcised. jk...

Love the gauges in the top cubby.

I would agree with Justn. Grill doesn't flow, but wheels look great. Are they black or gunmetal?

Gotcha...BTW...do you have the short shift kit too!?!??!
I'd think about staying away from it with such a short knob...only because it is AWESOME, but it's notchy and precise and you'll miss gears with such little leverage to click it into place.

My opinion, of course. Maybe it's my little girly arms.

Wrong section, this belongs in the Photo Section

Car looks good, but I am not feeling the grill either. Love the rims though.

Not sure about that shifter or the Type-S emblem on the center grill instead of the Acura insignia. But I likey the rest . Very slick. Nice upgrade on the wheels from the waffle Type-S's.

I'd like more info on the guages. Is it a kit or did you fabricate it custom?

Rock I actually do have the CT SS. 1st mod i did when i bought the car over a year ago. Shifts are nice and tight and rigid. My momz @ 61 and ma wife don't mind it so it worx. Didn't even have it stock for too long so I have little room for comparison, but i know there was a huge difference right off the bat. Especially after I added the heavier 1lb knob which i saw in a thread here on azine about CT SS

As for the color flow fellows. Maybe the pics aren't doing the right justice because thats the 1st thing strangers say when they see it. That they like the way the gun metal wheels match the grille and the stock smoked side markers match the tails. Hence why i smoked the mirror signals too. The mesh part of the grille is black btw. I understand what u'r saying tho because it was hard matching the gun metal matte finish of the wheel with an off the shelf spray from autozone. Did my best tho.

Well, keep up the good work, man.
Yeah, proper picture angles and backdrop would probably set it off better!

Gotcha...yeah, I LOVE my weighted knob...I have a mishimoto tall shift knob, so mine's taller...but all the girls I know want a thicker one. So you win.

Glow, Space : The gauges monitor volt and boost. The boost one monitors vaccum flow because clearly no turbo right now. Didn't wanna install anything else like oil pressure or anything that woud require pulling the head and those were the only 2 I could get in that size to fit where I envisioned it would. http://prosportgauges.com/. Plus I wanted the housing of the gauge to match the gun metal around the dash cluster gauges. Matched perfectly. And the pod was custom btw.

KJ and others, I agree that the grille on the right side does sit as flush as it should since it was after market from japan. Maybe a bad mold but it's not that evident. The color is as close to the rims as possible 4 now. The wheels and the grill have 2 different anlges of light exposure in pics so maybe that's y......... And to think I actually got the inspiration for my grille from a thread where dude did had the same grille, only thing his grey was a much darker which wouldn't match my wheels and he didn't add the emblem.

Just trying to make it ME

Looks very sleek and stealth! I'm thinking about going with the black tails myself. As a few others said, I'm not a huge fan of the grill but totally appreciate the creativity of it! So if you're happy with it then rock on bro!

It's all good. Not everyone has the same tastes. Props for doing something different. I've got 17' aftermarket wheels which most everyone says looks too small. But it's what I wanted. Gotta do whatcha like

Thanx. The wheels are TSW Nurburgring. I vision these simple inexpensive mods and just execute them when I can. You'll suffer from Moddiction with these TLs. Got tons of inspiration from azine members before I even bought it so thanx much to you all for the wealth of knowledge.

Wanna do coilovers but afraid bcauz I live in NY.

I also wanna do the slave cylinder check valve removal but wanna find some1 I can trust who's maybe done it b4. I'm pretty handy but don't wanna F it up. Does any1 know if the dealers would do it or of any tech in the tri-state area that could hook me up.

Ryan, nice job! I like the red calipers and love the wheels. The shift knob looks very short, but if it's comfortable, go with it!

Thanx a lot Steve. Appreciate it. Dying Dreams was affected and called me out on it already so I figured I did something culturally wrong.

Glad you like the red calipers. Was worried about how it would turn out. $10 mod btw. About 6 for the paint and 4 for the brembo decals. So it would only cost $10 to change it back to the black if I didn't like it but it's ok for now. The front brembos make more of an impression and a presence now.

I did that for Myron who was affected and wasn't feeling all the blackness in my initial thread https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-tires-wheels-suspension-97/new-wheels-new-ish-member-need-help-tell-me-what-u-think-855233/

Sorry Ryan, I didn't mean to be a dick, it's just better to keep a thread together when it's basically the same thing. Easier to keep track of.

The mods do look good and it's nice to know it was a cheap and reversible mod. Great looking wheels too

I am not really feeling the grill at all, maybe if you took the emblem off or put it in the corner it would look better. the wheels and calipers I like though.

No worries bro. Makes perfect sense. Everything needs structure so i understand.

4got to add this because I took this one with my phone. Poorer quality. Had some red left after the cals so I got crazy with the valve and wiper fluid covers so it could match the intake and head. Incidentally the S logo too which no one seems to feel. Was trying to go for that Euro look with that fellows.

4give me

Funny enuff Jelly. My wife was the 1st one that suggested I position it in the right top corner, and I did. I mount it with a decent double sided tape but rotating it around is ez. Which I've done a couple times. Based on the responses from my close circle of friends and a couple opinions from the street, I decided to keep it in the middle.

I'll remove it and do all 4 corners and take pics and u all let me kno bro. I value opinions here more than my wife who drives a crv or ma boys who drive tsxs' and accords and other non 3g TLs. They can't relate like u do!!!
