Trew-It's good that you're going with the other party's insurance. That's the preferred method. But, if things take too long, you can also go with yours and they'll try to recoup the expenses from the other insurance company. That's why it's "your" insurance.

I hope everything works out.

Ah, man that is terrible. Which shop did you take it to?

Mine got hit about a month before the meet in a parking lot, and the person didn't even leave a note or anything. So it had to go against my insurance. $1350 of damage, I feel your pain.

I think someone put a curse on the WDP cars for 2010. Good thing you didn't have the system turned way up and you weren't paying attention. It could have been a lot worse. I hope the shop you brought it to does great blending on the tri-stage paint. In a way, you got lucky....your brains helped too.

This is my biggest fear... I spoke to my buddy about this very thing today. He assured me everything would look as good as it did prior to the accident.

They added time for refinishing adjacent panels on the side that were not damaged by the impact so the paint would match even better.

I finally heard back from the insurance company today. They requested a copy of the police report so I faxed and scanned/emailed copies to them. They also said they could not get a statement from the insured due to a language barrier. According to the rep, they want to wrap this up, so I'm hopeful a check will be cut soon.

Updates and progress pics soon...

The car looks top notch and I love the rear with the emblem missing. Looks like you brought it to the right body shop and the wdp all matches.
