Hey guys, so I've been posting here and there for about a year now. I bought my 2005 Navi TL in SSM in February 2010 with my own money. I've been slowly changing things up on it ever since. I never made any sort of introduction or welcome thread as I never had the time.

And yes this whole thread is all composed of photos from my crappy blackberry phone. I simply do not have the time nor patience to do a "photoshoot". Work and social life is way more important than cars or online forums (no offense to anyone!)

Most of these photos are completely random, but I will try to list them in proper chronological order as best as possible from memory. I'm actually just copying these links from my FB mobile album haha. I will try to update this thread whenever I will get a chance to take better photos. Until then, thanks for looking!

MIGHT give it a drop with coilovers. I have a steep driveway and this is my DD living in NYC so..... fml.

Eventually installed full Aspec lip kit towards end of 2010.


Digging out my spot after NYC's first blizzard in Dec 2010. Front and side Aspec visible. Also back on blizzak wrapped stockies for the winter


At the tire shop getting blizzaks mounted. Blacked out headlights and Aspec kit visible again.


Last but not least, just installed reverse HID's thanks to a local AZ member!

No, I think SSM is actually one of the colors that look the least flattering with tints. It takes away from the car. The fishbowl look sets SSM off real well. So I'm not going to tint it all. I've seen plenty SSM 3Gs with tints on here and it's not appealing to me. I also live in NYC.

Love the A-Specs. And I can respect your vote to not tint the windows...your car looks nice and different without them.

Might I make one suggestion? Getting some Scratch-X and polishing your headlight lenses. Could just be the phone pics making it look a bit hazy. The crap that comes off is disgusting, I did mine when I got my car. It really freshens the front up.

Oh and nice license plate.

Haha I actually have about a foot and change of clearance form my car to the wall in the driveway, I just open carefully and squeeze myself out. I try to just park in front of my driveway whenever possible because it's such a PIA.

And the dog is both me and my girlfriends. Almost 3 years old now!

Thought I'd update a bit. Haven't done any major mods since I last posted. Although I did install the rv6 v3 jpipe and progress rsb.

Didn't get a chance to vinyl my roof yet.. although it's something I've really really really been wanting to do for a long time.

I removed the body side moldings also and blacked out my rear A emblem. Also added the aspec deck lid spoiler in black.

And finally installed my roof rack and very excited for shredding season to start!

that black trunk lip spoiler looks out of place. should consider getting it painted to match your car.

even with a black vinyl roof, that black trunk lip spoiler will still look off

Nice looking TL those dark aspecs look gooood on your silver. I hear what your sayin about no tint plus you live in the city, but 35% tint all around looks soooo good on silver. Oh and those pictures are perfect examples of why I could never live in the city... Holy crap to that picture of your driveway and car parked in the street with snow haha.

I don't know, but it looks great in person, and I love how it looks. Most of the new MB AMG's come with black trunk lip spoilers like that as well. And I think with a black roof, it would definitely set it off even better.

I agree with James....35% should be fine, even in the city. Have you been hassled by cops about the tinted tails? I know some jurisdictions are strict about anything hindering OEM light output...

I can open my door to about 6"-7" and I just squeeze out while holding my door so it doesn't hit the wall. It's a PITA but better than nothing. And thanks my dog is cute, but he's effin crazy.

No never stopped for my tail lights. It's actually brighter in person, more like a dark cherry color, it's def not black because I hate that look.

But NYPD has been going hard on tint tickets lately because it's a huge money maker for the city. I don't need another reason to be pulled over, as I've been lucky running no front plates already.
