OEM BBS rims on ASM Type S...
What "OEM BBS rims" you ask?
Ok so I have a thing for modifying / mixing / matching oem stuff to make things more unique.
And I know some consider it sacrilege but this includes *gasp* oem parts from other manufacturers. So here goes... just installed oem bbs rims from an Evo X MR...
Ridiculous amounts of clearance for the Brembos. Specs: 18x8.5" ET38, 245/40 stock Advan A13Cs.
Yes I know aesthetics wise I need a drop but my my company just installed 7 speed bumps in our garage on the way to the top, so no bueno for me until we move to new digs in a couple years.
Interested to hear comments / flaming etc haha...

Thanks! And appreciate the critique. Yeah I did those on a whim when I first got the car, with leftover paint and a roll of tape I held on to for 7+ years from my civic days.
When I have time I'm gonna restripe it black, make all the badges black-on-silver, and tint out the amber. Much of the fun is in experimentation...

Outstanding...plus, I like the work you've done on the front splitter too.

Thank you Steven. Inspired by you, I originally resolved to keep my ride stock++, but the wheel deal was too good to resist! 18.5lb / forged / with 50% tires for $820.
I've done some variation of the splitter/diffuser DIY paint on every car I've had - it's the lowest-hanging fruit as mods go. Call it a poor man's base aspec lip without the scraping issues, heh.

Thanks guys. I think the more time I spend on Azine, the sooner I'm gonna get my drop!
And it appears from my alignment today that I'll eventually need an ingalls to fix my rear camber too, anyway... might as well do it all at once, right

Sorry to bump an older thread, but...
I think it looks great! I'm a huge fan of the Evo X BBS wheels, and happy to know that it clears our Brembos without a problem.
It does look like you reused our OEM lugnuts. Did it sit okay for you? Or would you try an aftermarket tuner lug nut?

Reminds me of a member we used to have on here, went by the name of Dugboy. He ran the EVO X MR wheels too... and boy was I jealous (he knew I wanted them too). This was years and years ago.
And even now they still look amazing on the TL as shown by yours! You got a great deal on them too it seems
edit: oh, the thread is a little bit old.
If memory serves me... Mitsubishi or the Evos use the flat/washer-type lug nuts. Our stock acorn-type isn't very safe to use on OEM Mitsubishi wheels. It still works but you risk ruining the lug-nut-bore. Overtime it COULD lead to vibrations--or worse---a wheel coming off. It's better to use the flat/washer-type if you're going to run the EVO X MR wheels.
