How are you able to keep your DRLs on with the HIDs? I have an 04 and once I turn on my lights, the DRLs go off. Perhaps b/c it's a Canadian TL?

I've got the same bulbs too and yes, they are kick ass

the yellow DRLs are nice when they're on by themselves.
when everything's on, it's too busy with too many colors....amber sidemarkers, bluish fogs & HIDs, yellow DRLs and white switchbacks....gotta get them consistence....

oh well, just my opinion....

I wired them up for him with my setup. You posted in my thread about them so you know what I am talking about. Yes they are independent of all lights. Its controlled by a sep. switch. You can turn them on while the car is off and all lights are off. Another member pm'd me and told he it took him 25 mins and about 20 bucks to do it all. Best DRL setup in my opinion.

Looks great!

I got a set of Nokya Hyper Yellows the other day. Haven't installed them; to busy with other crap. The ones I got were 2500k, but I sometimes read of the Hyper Yellows in the 3000k range. Anyone else see this?

How easily did you get to the DRLs? I just spent 30 minutes outside trying to twist the damn bulbs, but couldn't on my 05. My hands are too big & I cut them open trying to twist them. They wouldn't budge. Taking off the covers are annoying as well.

Is there a trick or something to turn them? I was going to get pliers for extra leverage, but they wouldn't fit in such a small area.

I did search, but the search came back with nothing relevant.

The American "DRL" are actually fogs. They use a different bulb and have a slightly different housing than we do.
The Canadian TLs are either DRLs or low/highbeams. We can't turn the DRL on with the low/high... unless we do something about it. Which is what I want to do so badly T_____T

It was a pain in the ass... seemed like the bulb was tight to take out, but u just wiggle it out and should come out... add sum force 2 it

I had Nokya yellows with a DRL mod on my car too back in the beginning too.. I have LED in there now. Great match but it makes it almost functionless. Sometimes I feel like switching back to the yellows, it was a unique look. If I did do them I would use them as DRL in the day and keep em off at night except when needed. It's functional because the damn 8000K HIDs on my headlights/bottom fogs SUCK on rainy nights. (yeah yeah I like blue lights OK?) It would be good to throw in some yellow in there once in awhile.......

Maybe I'll go all out and do a yellow 2500K HID kit for the fogs?? Do I really need 3 sets of HIDs though?? lol!

Do the yellow bulbs cut through the fog better, or are these just aesthetic?

To much IMO... I would keep the blue/bluish lights on and switch off the DRLs.
