Hey guys, im sure many of you have read my drama with my trade-in to the Toyota dealer for my TL. I was hesitant to do mods to the car because I dont know the outcome, but I cant help it!

i just ordered that grill kit you got on there. it dont look bad from what i see but any chance you can get some more pics of the front end, straight on and so forth. thanks. how does it look to you? does that chrome stripping look cheap or does it shine nice like the wheels?

Ed, Theres a place RIGHT besides Brian Jessel BMW(YES I KNOW ) called N-Motion. Tell them Alex with the X5 and white TL sent you and they will get everything done for you for $200 and will guarentee no moisture for 1 year.

 

I like it because it goes with the car, although it does look kinda cheap. Ill take more pics...

Looks nice. Question.... I'm seeing some amber in the headlights. How did you manage to leave some amber there. I'd like to clear mine but still be legal.

Thats just the stock bulb blinkers. they are slightly yellowish

 

TL looks hot.....what exactly did you do to front grills.

Thanks Xtin. Very interesting. I would think they'd be colored enough just to make them legal? Technically speaking at least? Maybe.

 

-yeah theyre just stock bulbs...kinda same colour as reverse lights.

-I cant get white bulbs because Ill be hasseled for it in BC.

-My "deadline" from Toyota was March 21st....so its been almost 3 months.

 

Thanks for the info. I will give them a shout. $200 is not too bad I guess. DId you ever do the Projector color mod too at the same time?? It only takes 2mins to do and you get a nicer blue cut off similiar to the S2000's.

If you do the mod, make sure they do the color projector mod too. It only takes no more than 10mins to do both projector and you will get a nicer blue cut off for your HID's. They shouldn't charge you extra for it as it is one of the easiest mod to do since they are taking your lights out.

I haven't done it yet. But I think you will be taking a small piece of black plastic out from the shield and leave the shield in there.

Are you planning in getting yours done too?? If so, are you DIY or bringing it to a shop to get it done??

 

I'll bring it to shop, coz it is hard to take the projector out, right?
