Hello Everybody,
I'm currently in Iraq and just bought an 2005 Acura TL A-Spec 6speed manual with navigation. I'm glad to join the community and hope to meet some of you when I get home this winter.

I do not know how to post pictures and I know that I get do much until my first 15 days are up

when your days are up just set up a photobucket account and put your photos there and then post the image link from there to here. and congrats on the new whip, you'll be happy you took the time to find a six speed.

you dont have to wait the 15 days.
Host your photos to photobucket and then copy the link here.

SWEET CAR!
the six speed is a little hard to get used to but, it is fun to drive when you get the hang of it.
I see a silver aspec 6speed parked once in a while...sans navi!

i keep looking the same thing in different post. I have ask this question like 2 or 3 times now but is something i really dont know or it seem it all confuse me. Some people say they have a mt6 speed tl and others a at5 speed tl. were tl release in just one type of transmission during certain timne? i have always consider the box a double transmission 6 manual speed and 5 automatic speed. This muight be a dumb question but i still dont know why.

que?

04-06==> 5 speed auto OR 6 speed manual transmissions
07-08==> base- 5 speed auto ONLY, type-s= 5 speed auto OR 6 speed manual transmission.

all automatics have the sport automanual shifting (faux manuals if you will).

is this what you are asking for clarification on?

OP- thank you for your service...be safe. and congrats on the new ride.

It's all good. Holy crap. This is major support. You TL guys are way cool. Thank you for all your support. I'm currently setting up my photobucket right now. I always hated people that posted without pics. That's like me shooting a .22 at the enemy.

A few (exhaust(JPIPE) and suspension(RSB)) upgrades would make that ride even sweeter.

If you're looking for power upgrades, go with a j-pipe first. Intake won't give you much. I have the ATLP Base exhaust and I love it.

Before I get put on blast. The computers in Iraq is 50 times slower than back in the states. It takes like 10 min to load a page. So I'm gonna ask a bunch of noob questions. If it annoys you I apologize. I want my car done right and I'm going to concentrate on peformance and handling for the first month i'm home from combat.

If I get the jpipe and cat backi exhaust from ATLP. What stage does that put me at and do I need anything else to complete just the exhaust system.

Question for all of you. If you had to do it all over again from your current setup or even if you don't have a set up.

What would be your dream setup if you had the money to get coilovers, jpipe, catback exhaust, intake (if needed) and just wondering if I need engine mounts since my car is at 100,000.

This is my pick from doing 5 days worth of research and that's probably like 10 min to everyone back home. (slow internet)

Coilovers Tein SS street basis w/TL type s rigid bushings or BC Coils
Exhaust -ATLP TL Base exhaust and jpipe or RV6 complete ex sys
RSB - Progress
Intake - Dont know, I imagine most CAI's are the same.
Engine Mounts- XLR8 62A Street

Last, last question (two part) - WTF is PCD and will any of these mods make the engine light on.

Tks for the taking the time to read my noob questions. My last car military humvee. 0-60 in 30 sec. (no joke)

PCD(pre cat deletes) they give you a noticeable power upgrade but they smell and are raspy. Theres a million threads on them

Go with the RV6 jpipe, its the best bang for your buck
