Chrome looks good on a grill and thats it! Both set of rims need to go back on Craigslist and start over.

Wel, I am not a big fan of Chrome either, but I like the new wheels better than the old ones (desing wise). They are big though for a TL and tires seem big. you sure they will fit?

Also, Could you please tell me how wide your old wheels were and what tire size you have on them. I am running 18's and I am looking for lower profile tires and I liked how yours look on the pictures (looking at khumo's also) and this might help me decide.

Post pics once you put them on so we can see how they look. and enjoy!!

Peace,

Rolan

Unfortunately they do have the 245/35/20,the person had them on another vehicle so they came installed, but the price for the 4 came out to less than buying tires for my current wheels

Not saying anything but I think the previous owner was a girl (bought it as a reposessed vehicle so can't say for sure) so that might have something to do with the old set... I really didn't pick the new ones but I needed tires and wanted to get rid of the wheels so for less then the price of tires I got a new set of wheels so I can't complain too much

I do like chrome, actually wanted something with a brushed face better but for now those will do until I can afford something else

Thanks, thats what I always think 2 each their own. Honestly when I looked at the pictures of the wheels when I bought them I wasn't too sure but when they came in I think they look a lot nicer in person

Only if ull buy them! haha really my budget was only for tires but seeing the deal for these and how much I detest my current set I had to go for it

Sorry man but Cali is big on chrome wheels too

Really? Here where I'm at ive only seen one other DMM with Chrome wheels, but also I hardly see many other DMM driving around

Ya thats what I always think when I look at some of the vehicles. People do things I would never do to my car, you just have to enjoy it in the context of what they are trying to accomplish with their vehicles because in the end you fix your car to your liking

Definitely the new wheels design are better... The tires are a little big but they should fit I might have to do some fender rolling though. The old wheels were 18x7.5 with Kumho Ecsta ASX 235/40/18. They also might appear more low profile than they are seeing as they are nearly bald which is why Im switching up the wheels and tires

Props to you for taking everybody's criticism so well!

Too often I see people freak out and get pissed because they didn't get the response they wanted.

Even though many of us aren't a huge fan of the new wheels, post up some pictures when they get mounted

Thanks, ya I already expected that sort of criticism on the wheels seeing as most people here are opposed to chrome so I already had expected the reactions. And internet banging is stupid we aren't little kids if you have problems handle them like men in the streets haha jp

Thanks man coming from you thats a real compliment your wheels are sick! Both the ones you have on and the 22s you had before. Hopefully in the future I can upgrade to something like the Sevas you have but with baby and school taking up most of my $ that is what I can afford for now. And I will post pics with them on ASAP

um 245 35 20? you might have some rubbing issue with those rubber, maybe not depending on the offset. im running 235 35 20 but im running a low offset, and it rubs on stock height!

Respect x561321654651 for taking the criticism. I try to remind every person that asks me for advice on how to mod there car or what direction to go, all i say is build or mod "you". Dont let anyone influence what you want to do or tell how you should do it.

Sadly I was hoping today was going to be the big reveal and I would have the wheels on. Unfortunately, the other day the key for the wheel locks cracked so I had to get it welded back together so I can get the lug nuts off. Then, after getting off work at 8:30 this morning I tried to take them off again. Now, one of the lugs on the driver's front wheel snapped in half while I was trying to take it off. So now I can't get it off and the tire shop says they will probably have to torch it off. After trying the other wheels only one got all the lugs off no problem the other two have one nut each that doesn't want to come off and I am afraid to mess with them for fear of breaking another one. Heres pics of the broken lug nut

and the stupid broken key with the top part of the broken nut

I hope it's not too much damage to the thread or anything but I am highly doubtful that is the case. Maybe someone has any ideas on how to get it off short of torching it?

Hammer in a socket lol. Those look like gorilla lugs. As I recall you can use a 17mm Socket and those will take it off also.
