New TL owner

I traded my 2001 Jaguar XJR (with about 100K miles) for this brand spankin' new TL. After about 100 miles or so, there is really no comparison - the TL is a better vehicle in every respect (except for the ever subjective category of sex appeal - the cars are about the same for me). Even though the TL has about 150 less HP, it is plenty quick enough for me. More room, better quality build, better mileage etc...

I've never been big on spoilers, but I kept coming back to this one when it was on the showroom floor. I had one of my kids with me (to watch ol' dad do a car deal) and he really liked this one too. I considered an "S", but figured I would leave that to the younger guys and gals.

Here it is

Congrats on the car and welcome to the forum.
There are lots of great people at this place and it is a wonderful resource if you have any questions.
How about some front shots of your car? I would like to see what a 07 non type S model with the body kit looks like and if there is any difference.
Thanks!

Congrats and welcome my friend

I just got my TL not too long ago to, and I love it. Cool to hear a comparison vs a Jaguar. Its always cool to hear how they add up.

TLS or no TLS the Car is damn sexy. And trust me the sex appeal on the TL maybe not as great as the Jags but Plenty gurls my age (24) get all hot and bothered over it when I whip em around in it.

Even though it's not a Type S, that's still a pretty sporty car for a man of your age... Excellent choice!

How old are your kids, if any of them are of driving age, will they be allowed to take the car out?

Sorry I don't. The car was on the showroom floor like this - I didn't install the kit.

VERY beautiful car! Congrats. I don't think that front will fit the TL-S. The driving/fog light area is different from the TL to the TL-S. I love my 07 TL-S with the A-Spec body kit. BUT the 07 TL front A-Spec isn't as swollen. It looks a little better then my 07 TL-S A-Spec front lips. I didn't want to admit this

Thanks for the additional pics. A very sweet ride you got there.
I am really liking the body kit for 07 non-type S.

I wish I could fit that front lip on my 07 Type S.

Sweet ride...like the color too...I just got mine a month ago with the Type S kit and I couldn't decide if I should get a white or silver....ended up getting the silver only because I had a white car before. Still, great decision and love the car....makes me want to take mine back for a white one instead....lol....enjoy...

I always thought the 07 non-S had a better looking face than the 07 S! Good to know even the owners think so too! Good choice of car OP!

I think the Standard 07 TL A-Spec lip looks nicer then the 07 TL-S A-Spec lip. But without the lip, I prefer the 07 TL-S. Why did Acura make the TL-S A-Spec so bulging? I have the kit and am glad, but I kind of got a little pissed when I first saw the standard 07 TL A-Spec lip. IF Acura ever brings out another from lip for the 07 TL-S, I will have it on in less then a WEEK!!!

I'm new here too, but I'll like to throw in a great big welcome. what blows me away is how a car like this can draw people together. I loved this body style as soon as I saw it. I'll be learning more about all of this soon
