New Pics: Anthracite/19's/Comptech's

Here are some new pics I took this weekend. Someone here suggested I remove the splash gaurds. I had been thinking about doing it anyway so I did. I think I like it better this way. Enjoy!

WOW! Sweet rims! Your car looks amazing!! Keep the pics coming! And keep the splash guards off the car it looks better! I think the door edge trim would of looked cool as well on the lower half of the doors.

Thanks. The Comptech springs lower the car about 1 inch.

Sony DCR VX-2000 with a wide angle lens adapter. Its a DV Camcorder that also does stills. Video is great, stills are okay. I've been wanting to get a stills only digicam. Thinking of either getting the digi Rebel SLR or the new Nikon digi SLR, both are under $1,000.

They cost about $2750 and they do hide brake dust pretty well.

I wasn't really looking for a big lip. I also wanted to avoid any rubbing issues.

This might be the hottest TL ive seen on ths site and (to date) i love how the color in the rim compliments the anthracite ..i originally wanted a black TL so i could do the black rim with chrome lip setup .....
but ended up going with the Abyss blue pearl and camel

again nice job man....

I recommend the Digital Rebel--some of the best money I ever spent.

Pretty sharp pics, BTW.

A lower offset could acheive the big lip look.. An A-Spec kit would set it off..

What do you think of those tires? Can you compare the ride comfort of your setup to stock and to other cars? 19s just seem so extreme but it looks great on your car. I am coming from RX-7 land, but I don't want something that takes away all the ride comfort of the car.

I like the tires fine. The grip is good, they're quiet and relatively comfortable. Ride comfort with the 19's and Comptech springs is close enough to stock for my taste. It can be jarring at times, over train tracks or potholes. But if I slow down it's not so bad.

Compared to other cars I've owned that were lowered, 1 Accord and 3 Audi A6's, this car is not as comfortable as the A6's but much more comfortable than the Accord. Keep in mind that the A6's stock suspensions were alot softer than the TL's to begin with.

The VERY soft suspension with the A6 is exactly what I didn't like about that car. If you think the car is no where near sports car harsh and much more like a luxury car with some extra grip, then I think it is the right setup for me. What year was the Accord and what springs did you put on it?

The Accord was a 95' with Eibach springs. My current set up is no where near sports car harsh and if you felt that badly about the A6 suspension you may like my set up even more than I do. If you have any more ?'s, feel free to PM me.
