Ok...I guess I'll be the black sheep here. I don't LOVE the red flake but I think it's BECAUSE of the wheels...like you were trying too hard to keep the them going. What about some nice dark gunmetal or even just plain silver with a polished lip and then maybe just red emblems or something more subtle. I like the paint but not the wheels.
Way to have the BALLS to get a different paintjob though.
I've often wondered about getting this Toyota babypoop color on my TL...I am in love with it...but for quality AND the jambs and engine bay it would be alot.
Looks VERY shiny already, I can imagine after a nice wetsand/buff! DO yourself a favor while you have NO paint chips...get the clear front bra. 3 months from now it'll be too late.

if you like it then that's all that matters... but if you ask me, i HATE flakes, looks like the car was badly damaged in hail or something, espiecially with large flakes, but thats just me. maybe it looks better in person, bit ain't feeling it at all. not everyone will like the style, I know cuz I have the wing on my car, and everyone on azine hates it. I love it, so I don't care and everyone on my block loves it so...

imo way too much red flake.
here's your dilemma:
It's going to be hard as hell to get the same paint mixture & flake density for a new bumper to properly match. You're better off getting everything repainted some kind of OEM color at least. Even if you're adamant on it not being an Acura color.

yeh i just need to wait and see how much insurance is going to give me....i was thinking about trying to get it repainted midnight black pearl or pearlwhite, any ideas on how much that would cost me? and what should i do? buy the paint myself or just hand it over to a bodyshop?

It's not just the paint, but even the old body work needs help. Look at the front grill at the hood line, there's bondo over the seam. It doen't look terrible, but you could have a top notch ride if you do it right. Just my opinion, do what works for you.

What in the..fuck. That's not even black paint anymore. Sorry man but your painter is an idiot if you wanted it painted black. If you like it, great. But I'd be getting that redone.
