New Member...My Ride

Hey everybody. I'm new to the site and just wanted to share some info/pics of my ride, and hopefully I will learn more about the TL and get more mod ideas from the acurazine community :

'05 Acura TL=ABP with tan(peanut-butter) interior.

Current Mods:
-Dropped on Megan coils (~24.5in. from ground to top of fenders all around)
-Stockies painted gloss black w/ red pinstripe
-Brake Calipers painted red with Acura decals
-Front grille painted gloss black
-Debadged except "A" emblem
-Trunk lip spoiler and roof spoiler
-Type-S taillights
-Tints: 5% in back..35% in front

Next mods:
Thinking about getting the A-spec kit 1st. thing next spring and possibly some aftermarket wheels (what do you guys think?).

Here are just a couple of shots of my car (will have more soon):

+/-comments welcomed!

Sun was shining directly at it.

Welcome! ABP was my first choice in color. I would probably go wheels next. Like AMUA6 said, I'm not feeling the red stripe. But you can't go wrong with an a-spec kit either. I'm trying to get it in the next couple of weeks. Good luck!

Aspec kit first. Will change the entire exterior of the car for much cheaper than wheels will cost.

Love ABP.

I usually don't see them much, mostly RBP.

Looking good man! I'm not a fan of the "time attack" stockies though. They clash with the blue. Just my of course.

Like others have said, I would get the A-Spec kit asap. It truly changes the whole presence of the car

Hehe. The grass was just tall enough to make it look like it was slammed. As far as the pinstripes, it just came to me so I gave it a shot. In the pics, the sun was shining directly at it so it made them look kinda weird, but it doesn't look that bad in person. But everybody has different taste, so I appreciate the comment.

Thx..I like it too..it was between this one and a NBP with black interior.

Hey thx. I am not 100% sure yet as what I will get next(leaning towards A-spec kit). Everybody agrees that it'll change the car completely from the outside.Good luck to u as well.

Thx. That's the route I will most likely go with. I'm gonna have to raise the car up as I will scrape badly (especially in my driveway) lol.

I like them both. There's actually not much difference in the two. RBP is a little more blueish looking.

Thx. Yea I know it needed some tire shine, but then again the sun was shining directly at it.

Thx the comment. Ehh I was just experiencing to see how it would look. I don't hate it, not the greatest look, but it looks alight in person.

Thx. I think that's what I will get 1st. thing next spring. Wheels can wait as I don't mind my stockies.

General concensus is saying A-spec body kit. However, I must admit that I have a mild admiration for a lowered TL without this add-on. Oddly enough, I'm not feeling the roof spoiler without the A-spec. Appears a bit out of place, but then again, I'm used to what I have on my own car. Keep up the progress. An "A" for effort!

Thx. Yea looks like a lot of people here are not feeling the time attack stockies. They look a lot better in person and I actually like them a lot and I had many people mistake them for being aftermarket wheels. Everybody has different taste and opinions.

Thx. I know what you mean, I mostly see WDP and NBP to tell you the truth. I am hoping that the A-spec kit completes the whole exterior and makes it look better.

To me there's a huge difference.
ABP stands out way nicer, and RBP is like a darker blue.

If you think of them as both blue, I suppose they are heheh

I don't think that ABP is available in ebony interior, but I believe that the RBP is as I have run across a member here with that combo. Either way, I'm happy with my color combos. Btw, thx for the + comment.

That's actually what I was going for, but everything I like is way too expensive for me, so I might go for some gold 18s or 19s with w/o lip. But we'll see I guess.

Correct, Camel or Quartz only. In 06' RBP was available with Parchment or Quartz.
