So it's baout 4 months later now, how are those LED's holding up?

Also, has anyone tried to put the LED's down the inside, then across the bottom, similar to this pic:

I'm was thinkging baout trying that, but wasn't sure about how sharp of a bend it was, but based on these pictures, it looks like it's a bit of a gradual enough curve.

Or perhaps going across the top then down the inside, like this:

The LED's are holding up well-I'm happy to say! I like your pictures-all of them look great!

Sorry, I maybe calling them the wrong thing. I am talking about the place where you put the switchbacks for the blinkers. The plastic lens on my 2004 is amber and I would like to make them clear and then add the switchbacks. I have the switchbacks ordered but they will be useless if I can't get that piece.

Thanks.

^^^ You have to clear the lenses! That's a portion of what we did here. We took the headlight assembly out of the car, opened them up, removed the amber plastic lens, installed the LED's and carbon fiber piece, closed them back up and reinstalled!

Cool. I assumed there was another lens to replace the amber one. Thanks for replying back. I am new to all this.

Mod on, brother-mod on! I've got to think this would look good on any color TL. I was going to work the hockey game last night here in Kansas City. I got on the highway and a car full of guys were doing a Linda Blair trying to get a glimpse of my headlights!

I pulled closer so they wouldn't hurt their necks!

Does anyone have a picture of a TL headlight with LED's going across the top? The Camry doesn't look bad, but I want my TL to look mean! Like wicked attitude eyebrows.

Thanks-I've got to tell ya, Buda is a perfectionist. He wanted to insure it was done and done right! I sure as hell didn't want to take the nose off again and fix a problem (if it occurred). I'm glad we took our time-it was worth it.

I see you driving in Lenexa sometimes in the morning, the car looks good! Do you work around there? I work off of Lackman.

I have some questions for you when I get my PM privileges in a few more days about dealers and stuff. Maybe we can meet up sometime and I can check out your car in person.

Thanks, just joined.

I've seen a black TL with some large mufflers off of 435 a few times, is that anybody on here? Right now you may see me in my Ranger 4x4 or since the weather may be breaking for good (crossing fingers), my 2000 SVT Contour.

I hope to find a 07-08 TL sometime around April or May. Type-S would be nice but don't know if it will be in the cards or not.

The Black TL might be Buda! He doesn't get on Acurazine much anymore, but his TL looks great. Next time you see me, be sure to honk! I'll hook you up with my contacts at Jay Wolfe Acura. They'll find you what you want.

Yep, could have been me. I'm on 435 in between highway 10 and metcalf for going to/from work. I also have angel eyes in the headlights. There are two other TLs in town that have the same muffler as me. I'm not on the forums much anymore unless someone on a thread I'm subscribed to already posts up something for me to respond to.

Good luck finding a Type-S!

I'm not sure if there's a good solution-other than installing these LED's inside the headlight housing....that is IF you want them as part of the headlights.

as part of the headlights, thats def the way to go, but what about elsewhere on the car. ive seen pics of tls with led strips lining edges of the vents on the front bumper. and other places lower on the car, lower rear bumper, etc.

We did each headlight (separately, not in the oven together) for 20 minutes at 200 degrees.

There is a DIY on the forums so you should read through all that before doing this. However to answer your question, put the headlight in a cold oven (do not preheat) and set the temp to 200 degrees and the timer to 20 minutes. Make sure to let the oven cool before doing the next headlight. If you preheat the oven you will most likely damage your headlight housing.
