New car, but not going anywhere...
4-1/2 years and over 116,000 miles later, the TL has been the best car i've ever been in, let alone driven. and though we've moved up to a newer car, we're keeping the TL. so as my final posting in the Photograph Gallery, i leave you with the before...and now.

some quick, unedited shots i took...night pics to follow soon. this car lights up in all kinds of places in the dark.
airplane-type controls
notice the air vent on the left side? never seen this before...has one on each side for the rear seats
thoughts after owning this for almost a week:
it's a beast. i've been literally scared to hit the gas hard because of the take-off this car has. i mostly drive in automatic (D), but manually shifting is awesome, just like it was in the TL. this thing growls and the sound is amazing. even in 5th and 6th gear, this car still pulls hard. i'm used to anything after 3rd gear in the TL and it's just cruise mode...not in this car! it keeps wanting to pull and go. from a dead stop, it's hard to get going without feeling the engine just blast you off the line (hence why i'm scared to hit the gas). there are so many buttons in this car it's insane. honestly, Audi thought of just about everything when they designed this monster. it's actually way too smart for a car. things light up, move, unlock, turn on/off before i even tell them too.
bottom line: not the fastest car in its class (per reviews on car sites), but so much better than anything i could ever imagine. i'll never buy a BMW and the C63 AMG was the other car i was considering, but this thing wins hands-down overall for me. i can't count the number of people walking or driving by that stare at this thing. i guess "V10" on the sides of the car say something about what it can do. ...if you're ever in Tulsa, you've got a free ride in this S6 coming...

Man that thing is SEXY....congrats. Needs a REALLY good detail though, i'd get it professionally done (unless you have a machine polisher) and take very good care of it after that. Having swirl-free black paint is easily the best visual mod you can do

thanks guys. i'll hold onto this car for quite a while for sure.
i've got a short video while driving it so you can get a feel for the sound of it inside the car, but i might get a better one before posting anything. and night shots are still coming.
the S5 (before it was officially announced) was the first Audi i wanted...but i couldn't rock a coupe with a wife and two kids. :sigh: ...had to settle for the S6...we're definitely gonna meet up for a shoot. and then if you get an S5...it's on.
i'll wait in my driveway tomorrow morning to see if you show up for a ride.
