New armrest install results

So i purchased a new armrest cover from redlinegoods.com and i am very pleased with the results. My old cover was literally rotting off my armrest so it was urgent that this got fixed. I followed this very good DIY that SRT-11 posted HERE

Heres what my old cover looked like:

This is the lid of the arm rest once i scraped the melted foam and glue off. I used Goo Gone and soap and water to get like this:

Here's what it ended up looking like!

7 years of elbow grease and too many blunts rolled on it. plus multiple attempts to rub off the grime resulting in the paint coming off The thing was NASTY.

Ohhhhh. I didn't know it cane off like that! Yes! I was thinking I had to get a new arm rest.....mine is still in good condition, but its justhard as rock. I could probably just add some fresh foam under there to soften it up...

Awesome. Great job bro

Yep!!! The foam makes all the difference! I got the 1/2" stuff from Jo-Anne Fabrics and it cost me 4 bucks. The 3M was 14 tho lol

and yea its a black arm rest. Matches the black inserts on all the seats. Ties the black and grey look together.

Nicely done! Now your seats look worn! I made a diy of this too but only to replace the foam underneath.

Where did you get the 3m spray from? Jo-ann fabrics too? Couldn't you double up on the foam layers to make it extra comfy?
