Just picked her up last week with only 12 miles! I'm coming from an 02 RSX Type S. I was ready for an upgrade. Something with more comfort and luxury features. I ended up going with a new TL! Very happy with my choice so far. It's a pleasure to drive. So many nice little features that start to add up.

I paid $30,668 (including destination) + TTL. I only added wheel locks and window tint. I also was able to take advantage of Honda's 2.9% financing for 36 months. Felt like I got a good deal.

I know all of you've seen a stock TL before, but i'd just like to share and introduce myself to the forum! I plan to get the OEM Body Kit and 19" or 20" wheels. Not sure if I want a drop or not, but aspec if I did.

yes its stock except tint but still looks good all TLs look great "Fresh out the box"

 

I never noticed until you said that. ha. I'm going to have them take care of it. It looks like someone got lazy and didn't remove one of the interior trim pieces to get the tint behind it. Lifetime warrenty on the tint, so i'll get it fixed.

Nice pics JsTL, what % tint did you get? Those look like 35% all around.

 

Not too sure honestly. It was already on before I bought it. It's definately 35% up front (legal az limit). In person the rear seems a little darker.

Hey there I'm Jim, 21 yr old college student planning to get a 06 TL this week. Yeah, black (ebony) interior for anthracite exterior is my favorite combo, but I am curious about the temperature inside with black leather on a hot day...maybe a red exterior with camel interior would be cooler? Or should I sacrifice my comfort?

 

Get what you want...it will be the only way that you'll be happy. If you settle all you'll think about is the color combo you really wanted.

 

They offer it with black interior, but here in Arizona the lighter interior choice helps a ton. I had black interior in my rsx and it was very hot in the summer. The TL seems to cool down better with the quartz interior.

As for the wheel locks...people will steal anything thats worth something, so I might as well have em.

 

black leather really makes it hot in the sun. i wish i could get some tints soon to ward off some of the sun. i was going to say that's a good price w/o navi. i wish i could've held out a bit longer and gotten the 2.9 special.. now i'm stuck with 5.69

 

If they sold red with ebony interior I'd be all over it. I'm also thinking black interior may show more like lint, random dust, etc. Oh well, going out to the dealership tomorrow, see what my gut says I guess. With that many horses, does it really matter whether you go for MT or AT? After all, AT comes with the sportshift or whatever it's called...

 

Sportshift is nothing like a real MT.

 

I too upgraded from an 02 rsx type-s (with boost) and there is no comparing SS to a MT. MT is sooooo much more fun to drive But an automatic is so much more pratical living ina big city. I was gonna wait for a 6mt TL but 2 monthes was way to long to wait so i just settled. I love the space in the TL compared to the tight space of an RSX.

Pix are forthcoming, but today we went and picked up my Red TL with Parchment interior. It had just gotten to the dealership and it hadn't even been through post delivery inspection. Nothing against anthracite, but the second I laid eyes on it I knew it was going to be my new car. My last car was a 96 celica 4 cyl MT and it was fun to drive when there wasn't much traffic. However, there were some days when I was stuck in stop-and-go traffic just wanting to get home that I wished I had an AT. Guess I have to get back to learning these navi voice commands...
