New 19" Ron Jon Vega Wheels + Extras!
Well I finally got around to getting some new photos taken of the TL-S (thanks to 06TL2NV for his help) since I have done a few added mods.
First, the new Ron Jon Wheels went on and they got wrapped with some new Yokohama S.Drive tires. The wheels are 19x8.5" Vegas, and the Yoko's are 235/35/19. I'm real happy with the whole setup!
Next I had all of the engine panels "hydro-dipped" with a fiber-weave pattern. The process of hydro-dipping is pretty cool, and it turned out awesome. The pictures show you some of the detail, but you have to see it in person to get the full effect.
I also installed a new CAI; it's the K&N Typhoon. You'll notice in the picture that the CAI along with the front strut bar have been custom powdercoated to match the "Type S red" color. I also changed out the oil cap to a red Mugen cap.
Lastly, a mod that you won't see in the pictures is that I had a H&R front sway bar installed as well.
Take a look, and let me know what you think!
Lastly...had to throw in a couple pics of my car along with 06TL2NV's car!

Wow that is VERY nice. I think they look a little big for my taste I would maybe go 1" smaller but you said they are 19's I dont know why they look so huge. Like 22's or something lol. Either way though your car looks GREAT. ANy ideas if they make those wheels in dark grey like OEM Type S wheels?
Ride height looks great to what suspension setup do you have?
Thanks,
James

MN, I'm impressed with the engine compartment! I actually painted (in red) the A/C knobs and the windshield washer fluid cap. That would match well with your CAI and SwayBar.

Thanks everyone for your comments...keep them coming!
Wow...I'm a little surprised at the "those look HUGE" comments! I really don't think that they are that big honestly, but I guess maybe you just need to see them in person. I'll be at the Acurazine KC meet in June, so I wait to see what kind of comments I get there!
No, Ron Jon doesn't make the Vega wheels in the darker gunmetal gray like the OEM Type S wheels. I still have my Type S wheels; they'll become my Winter rims. I kinda like the contrast between the two different colors, but I do like the gunmetal look as well!
LOL! It's already dropped. It's been dropped a little over 1.25" using the Neuspeed Supercup kit. That's about as far as I want to go to prevent any rubbing or scraping issues!
Thanks Steven! Yeah, I remember your engine bay from seeing it in person at last year's KC meet. I know that these blue items stick out like a sore thumb, so I'm sure that something will be done about them!!

Looks great! I'm a huge fan of the wheels. I know that hydro-dipping stuff isn't cheap but it looks effing dope.

Thanks! I didn't know how I'd feel about them either, but once they were on they grew on me quickly. Rondy did a great job in designing these wheels!

I got a kick out of that too. What do you mean he just needs to drop it now haha. Are we looking at the same pictures because the ride height is amazing!!! Not too slammed ghetto style, but just enough to make the car perfect all around. I think lowered to some people on this forums means wheels tucked in the fenders which too me looks retarded.
To the OP do not change your ride height its perfect with the setup you have right now.
