New 19" Ron Jon Vega Wheels + Extras!
Well I finally got around to getting some new photos taken of the TL-S (thanks to 06TL2NV for his help) since I have done a few added mods.
First, the new Ron Jon Wheels went on and they got wrapped with some new Yokohama S.Drive tires. The wheels are 19x8.5" Vegas, and the Yoko's are 235/35/19. I'm real happy with the whole setup! Next I had all of the engine panels "hydro-dipped" with a fiber-weave pattern. The process of hydro-dipping is pretty cool, and it turned out awesome. The pictures show you some of the detail, but you have to see it in person to get the full effect. I also installed a new CAI; it's the K&N Typhoon. You'll notice in the picture that the CAI along with the front strut bar have been custom powdercoated to match the "Type S red" color. I also changed out the oil cap to a red Mugen cap. Lastly, a mod that you won't see in the pictures is that I had a H&R front sway bar installed as well. Take a look, and let me know what you think! http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/c...0883edited.jpg http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/c...0878edited.jpg http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/c...0876edited.jpg http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/c...0877edited.jpg http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/c...0888edited.jpg http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/c...0897edited.jpg http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/c...0926edited.jpg http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/c...0922edited.jpg http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/c...0916edited.jpg http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/c...0906edited.jpg http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/c...0907edited.jpg http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/c...0909edited.jpg Lastly...had to throw in a couple pics of my car along with 06TL2NV's car! http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/c...0934edited.jpg http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/c...0936edited.jpg http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/c...0939edited.jpg |

|
Well done. I like the wheels.

Wow that is VERY nice. I think they look a little big for my taste I would maybe go 1" smaller but you said they are 19's I dont know why they look so huge. Like 22's or something lol. Either way though your car looks GREAT. ANy ideas if they make those wheels in dark grey like OEM Type S wheels?
Ride height looks great to what suspension setup do you have? Thanks, James |

Not my cup of tea, but looks pretty good! |
Nice choice but the pics suffered from resizing or something. :dunno:
|
Looks ok. Now you just need to drop it.
|
MN, I'm impressed with the engine compartment! I actually painted (in red) the A/C knobs and the windshield washer fluid cap. That would match well with your CAI and SwayBar.

lookin freshh

Those wheeels flow nicely with your car, great pictures

Looks great! I'm a huge fan of the wheels. I know that hydro-dipping stuff isn't cheap but it looks effing dope.
|

I think it's because the pic was huge and then resized - ie the pixelation

Looking good! Do you have race or sport springs with your Supercup kit? ...and which perch? I'm really looking into the drop before I do wheels myself.

To the OP do not change your ride height its perfect with the setup you have right now. |
I was shopping around for 18s but OP has made it impossible for me to cheapen my TL over an inch. Without a doubt, he has the perfect stance but I was only planning on installing Megan springs. Could I achieve the same stance with just springs or would a kit be a must

Love the look of the engine panels
|
I should order a hydro dip kit. Yours look awesome
|
wow everything looks REALLY good. Nice job
|
